Oh, I think you are talking about Bow Wow Beach in Stow - here is a link: Bow Wow Beach and there are several pet friendly hotels close by for those who would like to make an overnight trip out of it. Pet Friendly Hotels in Stow, OH, US Or Columbus could work as it is more centrally located in Ohio - I just don't know of anything in/near Columbus. |

AND Thanks for sharing the pet friendly hotels! We will definitely make an overnight of it since we will be driving from PA, but that is fine by me. Mini vacay! Woot woot! |

I am about 2 hours from Columbus. |
If we could get someone close to or in Columbus to let us know if there are any dog parks or anywhere we could meet up, that would be great! |
I think the Bow Wow Beach would be great!! |
I am in no matter where it is. Columbus is 2 hours from me so if yall can find somewhere there that will be fine for me. Do not know if I will be able to bring all 6 of them to Columbus or not but I will bring the Fab four for sure. Little Dude gets car sick and so does Molly |
I think Bow Wow Beach is the winner for the first meet up. Let me do some research and see what I can come up with. When does everyone want to meet? I'm thinking June or July - what works for everyone? |
I agree, bow wow beach looks awesome!!:thumbup: I wish I had known about it sooner, I've always wanted to take my furkids to a park like this. Most dog parks I have ever been to seem so small and boring in comparison. Plus it is only an hour away for me. |
July would be better for me I hope that is good for everyone else |
July works for me - I am looking at the 14th, 21st or 28th with rain date of that Sunday (15th, 22nd or 29th) since some people will be traveling a bit of a distance. Let me know what you all think. I'm thinking maybe we can do some small picnic type foods for the humans and some snacks for the pups... I need to research the park a bit more - we may end up with Subway sandwiches if there are no grills available... |
Here is the link to Bow Wow Beaches' website: Stow, Ohio's Off-Leash Dog Park | Bow Wow Beach Volunteers The park is Silver Springs Park and they have camping, etc. I am going to do some research and see what I can find out. Will let you all know in a couple of days what I uncover. |
I spoke to my friends this past weekend and it was the BowWow park that they were recommending I take Yazmin to. I'm hoping to take her there this week, depending on the weather. We've had a lot of rain and cloudy weather lately. :( Anyway, If we do get the chance to check it out, I\'ll let everyone know if it\'s a nice as it appears on line! :D |
So fun!!! I\'m so excited! June or July can work for me...but preferably earlier in July. I have tentative plans near the end of July to go to the beach with my family down in Alabama. So early July/mid July would be great for us. We will be making it an overnight trip since we are coming from PA, but we will definitely be coming. As soon as we set a date, I can tell my hubby and he can put in for the days off from work. He works for the railroad so he does not have a regular schedule like some, so he has to know ahead of time to plan to be off. Katie Scarlett travels great so I have no worries with that. I\'m up to do whatever you guys want to do as far as a picnic or whatever. Subway or bring your own would be cool. Since we will be driving, it would be easier for me to pick something up right before. And I\'d love to bring a little something for all the pups there! Ahhhh! I\'m so excited! Our first Yorkie meetup!!!! |
I figure the weekend of the 7th, people might be celebrating for the 4th since the 4th is on a Wednesday this year - so how about we make it July 14th with the 15th being a rain date if the weather is not cooperating on the 14th? |
