Looking for breeder near Chicago I am searching for a reputable breeder near Chicago, Il. Can anyone advise? Thanks |

I contacted Cheryl Marano by email yesterday, did anyone got a puppy from her? I mainly chose to contact her because she lives half an hour away so it's easier. And if this doesn't work out can anyone recommend a good breeder in the Chicago-Naperville area? It doesn't have to be so close, I just thought if is closer it can be easier to meet and see if we are a good fit (us as parents and them as breeders) Thank You |
I didn't got any answer from Cheryl so I tried to contact Cheryl Rangel(Wheeling, IL) a week ago and still no answer. Should I follow up with a phone? I mean I am not sure if both of them don't breed anymore, or just that they don't check the email very often, and I don't want to be pushy... |

I have seen Cheryl Rangel at dog shows and she has some pretty dogs. I would try her again she maybe out of town at dog shows. Good luck. |
I already called Cheryl Marano and left a message, but I didn't got any call back in more than a week. I will try to call Cheryl Rangel and maybe Sandra Aroch, as I read good things about her here on the forum. |
I've seen Sandra Aroch's dogs at shows as well and they are really nice. |
I just thought of letting you all know how my search is going. Sandra Aroch emailed me back, and unfortunately she doesn't have any litter planned this year. I also called Cheryl Rangel, and she is out of town until 8th of July. I wrote her another email with more information about myself, and I am going to call her on the 8th and see if I have any luck... |

Some news again :)...I called Mrs. Gordon from Wildweir yorkies, and unfortunately she is retired. I also wrote to Katherine Weems and Leann Kristie and got very quick replies this morning. Mrs. Kristie won't have any litter until late next year, and Mrs. Weems will have one litter at the end of July. Also Mrs. Kristie wrote me that Cheryl Rangel might have a girl for sale so I am hopeful :). My boyfriend is not sure he wants a girl or a boy, because he is under the impression that boys are more playful :P, but I tried to explain to him that playfulness it's not related to gender but more to the personality of the dog. Anyhow, if it doesn't work out with Mrs. Rangel we will probably wait for one of Mrs. Weems puppies, the only thing that worries me is that the puppy will be ready to go to a new home at the beginning of November and we will go to see our parents in Europe for Christmas, which leaves us very little time to pad train him/her so she can stay with our friends... |
I have seen all of these breeders at local dog shows and all have beautiful dogs. I hope it works out with Cheryl. |
