Is there anyone on here in the Wisconsin area that would like to meet up for a play date? :)

Hi!

I'm from Western Wisconsin - Pierce County. I'd love to meet up for a play date if you're in my area. My little Bailey is 8 months old and hasn't had much of a chance to play with other puppies since I got him, and whenever we run into other dogs they're always really BIG dogs and he gets kind of scared :(

Awww... We are in Milwaukee. :( Alex lives with a Border Collie and grew up around Golden Retrievers. I wish you were closer so we could meet up for a play date!

We just moved to WI (Milwaukee!!! well, actually Greenfield) from Oklahoma! We'd love to meet up! How many do you have and what are their sizes? Bella is my baby and is only 4.5 lbs. She does just fine with larger or smaller dogs AS LONG AS they don't pounce her and knock her down! :p Let us know what/when/etc... (We moved here for my bf's job, so I'm still looking for work..."when" for us will depend on whether I've found a job yet and what my schedule is???) Yay! We're excited!!

Well welcome to Wisconsin and congrats to your boyfriend!! We live closer to Wauwatosa, but Greenfield is over by where I work. I am a teacher, so am on summer break. Alex is around 4 pounds, and we have a border collie as well. She can stay home if your little girl would be afraid. Alex is my baby, so I totally get how you feel!! Let me know what works for you!! There are some great dog parks here!

I go get my 6 yr old Biewer on 1/29 and am located in Pewaukee. Interested in playdates.

I am in Pewaukee and will be picking up my new to me 6 yr old Biewer. Would love to find a play date. Kind of afraid of dog parks as most dogs are much bigger and might hurt her.

Congrats on getting a Biewer (p.s. I'm soooo jealous, I've wanted one forever!!! :D) How much does she weigh (if you know??)? I have 2 traditional Yorkies, both females, and both weigh just over 4 1/2 lbs. Bella is 2 1/2 yrs old and Maya is 7 months old. Bella is usually slightly more reserved when it comes to meeting dogs and does better in small groups. Maya is very energetic and exuberant, but since she came home she hasn't been in a group bigger than 4 (her, Bella, and 2 others), so I'm not sure how she would do in a bigger group. I would love to meet you and your new little girl sometime! :D

(P.S. We technically live in Greenfield, but really we live right on the line where Greenfield, Milwaukee, New Berlin, and West Allis all "touch"!)

She is 8 lbs and had her last litter about 3 months ago. She was an excellent mommy from what we have been told. She is a bit timid too as her dogs kinda ganged up on her and she would end up hiding in the bathroom most of the time. I am so excited to fly and pick her up in 11 days!!! I will let you know how she is doing once we are home and we can schedule from there. I am somewhat familiar with that area since I used to work for a family practice doctor at 13700 National Ave. We can coordinate a time and place to meet.

^^^^ p.P.s. I just saw your other post with her pics.....she is GORGEOUS!!! What a little cutie pie! From the pics, it looks like she's probably a good size to play with my girls. (I only asked before because, like you, I'm more reserved about letting them play with dogs too much bigger than them since they're pretty small. Honestly, though, they both do pretty well playing with my dad's 19 lbs dog (he can get a little rough so I have to watch him though!). I'm actually so excited about the possibility of them having a play date....maybe in Feb?! Bella had a Chinese Crested buddy in OK before we moved here, so it would be nice for her...and Maya too...to have a little friend to play with sometimes! :D

Poor little thing, getting ganged up on like that! :( I'll have to keep Maya at bay and let Bella meet her first....Bella is very submissive, which is why she doesn't like when other dogs lunge excitedly at her in meeting. Once Larissa and Maya have "met", though, I think they would be just fine too. I basically live at Hwy 100 and Beloit Rd.

Sometime is February sounds good to me. Of course there will be a flood of photos coming once she gets here. I have already been going crazy on doggie harness coats and custom mad collars and so forth. Since I can be spoiling her with attention I am spoiling her with my shopping addiction. She was just spayed today and I don't know if her weight will go up after that this is all so new. She looks dainty though. Your babies are absolutely precious as well. Do you have children other than your fur babies? I have a 12 yr old son and a 4 yr old daughter. Larissa my fur baby was born on their adoption finalization day so we know that this placement was of Gods doing.

I totally understand about the shopping...I've done MORE than my fair share!! With Maya (my 7 mo. old) I put a deposit down on her 4 weeks before she was ready to come home, so I had to do a little shopping to keep my excitement at bay too!! :p Nope, no other kiddos here...maybe some day, but right now my Yorkies are my babies!! (I'm 31 just in case you were wondering ;)) Larissa DOES look dainty!! She has beautiful soul-searching eyes! :) I think her little face looks a little like my Bella. ;) ( And I can't WAIT to see what Maya looks like when she's all grown up!)

Spaying her SHOULDN'T affect her weight....it can effect some other things we can talk about later (nothing huge, just some things I learned after Bella's spay), BUT as you know, they're all different, so I suppose it's not out of the question. If she's at a good weight for her frame now, then I'm sure she'll stay within a few ounces of that weight from now on.

Can't wait to hear more about her when you have her...and can't wait to have a play date!!! :D

I am so excited she is here and I am looking forward to a play date. She has a bit of anxiety around other dogs but seems to like other yorkies. My friend has one and I took her there for a play date with him and she did fine with her yorkie but wasn't fond of her teddy bear. She is super great around kids and people and has an excellent disposition. Here is a couple of pic's I took today before the heart if the storm.

I have a couple of pics of my girls going out to potty this morning....Daddy had to get up earlier than Mommy and the girls to shovel out a place for potties!!! At the shortest end, it's about 14 inches deep (on the sidewalk!) and about 30 inches deep at the back of the "potty patch". CRAZY!!!

I love all the photos!!! Anyone go to the Pet Expo yesterday at State Fair Park. We had so much fun!!! Your little one in Grafton is super cute is he a puppy? We really need to set a date to meet. I love the Blizzard photos your girls are so adorable. What kinda boots do you have, cause I kinda:luv:Love them and want then for my little girlie girl. I am so excited I just got Larissa her new sleep sack yesterday at the pet expo and it is so cute!!! It is cupcakes. Got my little one lots of fun stuff yesterday. I should have posted the details of the pet expo before going and maybe met you guys.

Oh darn!! We didn't even know about it! :( I would have loved to have gone....I'm sure you had a BLAST!! My girls wear booties that I made them. I bought some booties in Alaska when we were there visiting my fiance's family December before last (2009--his parents just moved to Midland, TX, though, so I doubt we'll be going again), and I used those as a pattern for myself to make some for my girls because they are PERFECT (we've tried several different kinds and they either don't stay on, they make them walk funny, OR they pull their hair when you take them off (the Pawz booties...they look like little latex balloons), but these are just exactly right!) The ones I bought are fleece and were made my a lady in Alaska. I didn't care for them being fleece very much because they get soaked if it's damp and the snow sticks to them too. I made some for Bella in denim and in courderoy that worked much better, but I recently found some waterproof breathable fabric (like they use in making ski coats) online, and those are the only ones I use now....they are AWESOME!! If you're at all handy with a sewing machine, you could make them too (I'm NOT very handy, but it's a very simple pattern, so even I could do it! :p) OR, I might could be persuaded to make some for little miss Larissa ;) We're very excited to meet her and you!!

I'm in the West Allis/Milwaukee area.... My three are more people dogs than dog dogs, but most other dogs they've been around have been larger than they are. The youngest one seems to enjoy playing with other dogs once she's warmed up to them.....
We also have a 60-ish pound LabX in the house who is really gentle with them.
