Looking for a Puppy playmate in the Mich. area
 
Hi, I have a 4 month old, 5 lbs, female yorkie name Cocoa, I would really like for Cocoa to have someone to play with, but I'm not ready to get another puppy, looking to meet someone near Southfield, Mi to setup puppy get together dates, so our puppies can play.

We have a very active Michigan meet-up group with folks who live from Saginaw, Port Huron, St. Johns, Owosso, Clio, Grand Rapids, Eaton Rapids, Harrison Twp, Farmington, Novi, Dearborn, Trenton, Brownstown and Rockwood (I'm sure I missed a few cities)!!!!

I think our next event is scheduled at Posh Paws in Harrison Twp on July 11, with a possible Dearborn meet-up in August and Labor Day weekends. Lorraine (2parises) usually posts the information here when there is a meet-up scheduled.

I know there are more Michiganders on here than those who attend our meet-ups also!!! We are in Trenton.

Oh you would LOVE these meet ups!! If you can make it for sure do it :) You will never see so many pretty babies at one time all joined together. It's a wonderful time!!

Jodie, meetup at Posh Paws? any more info? would love to go to that one,I live maybe 10-15 minutes away from Sues place.

How would someone get to go to this meet up? I live in Roseville, and would love for Riley(5 months) to play with some other yorkies.. Not quite sure how it'd go..but it would be a nice thing to get him socialized with other dogs..Do these cost money? Any kinda helpful info!?

Looks like were neighbors! I live in Warren & work at the Roseville Meijer.I haven't been to a meetup in about a year,but they are great! Yorkies everywhere!! Sometimes there's a theme (Hawaiian,Halloween etc) no cost,we usually bring a dish for everyone to eat, I'm also looking for more info on the next one,we would like to go to this one,it's so close!

Ha, we really are neighbors.. I work at the Warren Meijer.. kinda ironic. That would be fun.. I'd love to bring a dish and see how these little rascals get all together.. lol Riley's a ball of fun!:animal-pa

Too funny! I'm a bakery slave there!;) Brenda,Harrison Twp is a suburb of Detroit near Mount Clemens or Clinton Twp, home of Partridge Creek Mall ,that expensive mall that is dog friendly! Yep, we are ready for a meetup:D

MICKEYB!!!!! You are at the bakery at the Warren Meijer!!? As in the new one on 12 and Mound! I'm there like everyday! I live in Heritage Village right behind it, I can walk to Meijer! I hope thats the one you work at, I will come visit you!!!!

No, I'm at the Roseville Meijer,work the midnight shift,my Mom had a stroke last year & my boss lets me work that shift so I can care for her during the day. I go to 12 and Mound quite a bit, just payed my AAA there yesterday!:)

June 21 - the Michigan met-up will be in Saginaw


Here is the information on the Posh Paws July 11 meet-up:

Please feel free to join us here at Posh Paws on July 11th, from 10 to 3pm. We will have space for overnight RV guests too if you like! - EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!

We are having a local vet here for $20.00 micro chipping and $10.00 vaccinations. If you would like those services, I need a list in advance by June 30th.

I am also looking for vendors who want to sell their doggie merchandise there. Contact me if you are interested or know of anyone who is.
We will have a canine massage therapist on hand and all of her donations go to YTNR Dink Memorial fund.
I would like to make this a YTNR fundraiser again, so we will be donating nail clip $$, and other small services $$ too. I am asking a small fee for the vendors which will be donated to YTNR after our expenses. We are still working on the details for that.


There will be 1-2 groomers available if anyone needs a grooming or quick tidy up done. Our groomers will get their customary percentage, and the profits from that will also go to YTNR, so please reserve a space for your doggies if you need that sort of thing.

Oh wow, this sounds fabulous! I'm in Shelby Twp., soon will be relocating to Rochester Hills, but I grew up in Roseville! I'd love to participate, but I don't have my flight schedule yet for next month. Do I have to reserve in advance, or can we just show up?
