Yorkie Fair 2008 Last year we attended a yorkie fair near Ann Arbor, MI around this time. Wondering if anyone has heard of a 2008 yorkie fair in Michigan? |

It is true...this year's Tiny Paws (Yorkie Fair) has been cancelled. :( |

This is the message on the site. I know that the people organizing it are very disappointed as well. I'm sure they will be working hard to be able to have it in the future. It was a big success last year. :) "As of May 12, 2008, It saddens us to announce to all interested parties that our event for 2008 is canceled for reasons well beyond our control. We do plan on holding the event again in the future. We will post more information as it becomes available." |

i think i can get my mom to bring me for a few hours :) We won't be staying the night but an afternoon is better than nothing :) if anyone else is going let me know! |

I emailed them asking about it and if it was cancelled or not. Hopefully I here back! And I'll let you all know. Sorry I didnt know that the site i posted has been there since early 2008. Oh wait, JUST NOW got an email! Jennifer, due to the poor economy and rising gas prices, several of our out of state vendors pulled out. We had no choice but to cancel the 2008 event. We could have put on a smaller event with less vendors, but we wanted it to be a good experience for shoppers and the rescue groups, so we just could not do it this year.We are hoping to put it on again in 2009 once the presidential election is over and the economy becomes more stable.there was no entry fee or parking fee for shoppers. Rescue groups did not have to pay to be there either.We were asking $100.00 for vendors to have an 8' X 10' space.Hope to see you there next year! Sorry for getting everyone excited for nothing..........now I feel real bad........:( |
