Ashley, it will be fine :) We'll have a good time no matter what. Games would be great though. I'm not sure my hubby is coming. I'm hoping to ride with Lisa :) Well, it's official, we're going to Bark In The Park! Yeah!! So we'll see you all twice in one week! Lisa, I will check out the thread about Piccolo. |
Games would be great! I don't have any games like those but if others had them to bring that would be wonderful! Had an idea. I don't know how much your babies love to dig, but we could have a little plastic kiddie pool filled with sand... Would your babies love that? Mine probably would. We could hide little nylabones in it or other kinds of toys and they could do a doggie treasure hunt! hhehehe Brittany and Bentley |
Ashley - Games sound great for the meet-up. We have a corn hole set. Would you like us to bring it? I can't wait to meet everyone and their furbabies. :D Tammy - I am so excited that you are coming to the Bark in the Park. September is going to be a wonderful month! I had a busy week, last week, volunteering at a Reading Camp in Covington, Ky. It was very rewarding. Also, I am now watching 3 dogs. Poquito, for a month, and my sister-in-laws two poodle puppies for a week. It is dog heaven around here. Lol. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. |
Bluegrass Classic Dog Show in our area! Does everyone have plans for the Labor day weekend??? Just a reminder that the BLUEGRASS CLASSIC dogshow will be going on!! The Lexington, Mid-Kentucky, and Northern Ky Kennel clubs will be hosting shows on THUR, FRI, SAT, SUN, and MON (I think the classes on Monday are few). It is held at the Kentucky HorsePark (about 60 miles south of Cincinnati off from I-75) - You go passed the main entrance of the HorsePark and take the Campground entrance for the dog show. I try to go every year (most of the time we are there the whole weekend) and it is really fun. Although sometimes VERY hot. There are quite a few vendors, also. If anyone is planning on going (whether as a participant or spectator), let me know or send me a private message. We might be able to meet up with eachother!! Here's a link for the info...... of course, it don't have the times listed for the Yorkie classes YET... but hopefully I can get that information soon. |
I would have liked to attend but my son is playing football with PopWarner and they only have 7 games and he loves it so much. He is only 6 years old but he is a bulldozer, he is not the biggest kid but his older brother has always wrestled with him and this has toughened him up, it took 5 kids to tackle him once last year. I took hundreds of pictures at the games. Anyway I got a new little girl last Sunday I drove up to Michigan and bought her she weighs 1.1 lbs and I got her home took her to the vet and had to treat her for coccidia and had to isolate her from the rest of the dogs. Then My eldest son slept with her Tuesday night with a fan blowing on them and she now has Tracheal Bronchitis. So she is in a large high laundry basket by my bedside with the warm mist vaporizer going. I thump her rib cage area several times aday to help her cough anything out, I don't want her to develop pnuemonia. She is so loveable. I tried to add a picture to a thread but my pixels are to high so I added it to an album on my site. Talk to everyone later. |
1 Attachment(s) Hello Everyone! All four dogs and myself just came from out of the basement. The sirens were going off due to a possible tornado. I wonder if there was one in Erlanger? You should have seen me trying to round up the pack and herd them downstairs. It was rather comical. Did anyone else have to go to the basement? Shelby and Seymour - The dog show sounds like fun. However, we always go to a Family Church Weekend near Irvine, Ky, so would not be able to attend. Thanks for letting us know. I wanted to show everyone what Lisa K. and Winston sent to Piccolo. Thank you so much Lisa! We were thrilled to open the package! Winston and Lisa sent this really great toothbrush with three sides and toothpaste to go with the brush. What a great idea and we can't wait to try it. They also sent this really cute Yorkie card picture with a magnet that we can put on our refrigerator. Hope everyone has a great week. |

Oh I am so glad that you and Piccolo liked them! Love the pic of him posing with package contents haha!! I found that brush last week and I couldnt wait to get home to try it on Winston, as I in the past had some that werent so good and I had trouble too. Well I gave the new brush a try and it was AWESOME!!! I only hope it will help you as much as it has me!! The best part of it I found, which I hadnt even thought of before I used it, is that it makes like a bite block so that Winston cant close on me!! I think I did 100% better getting them this time....it still may not be pefect, but a lot better than before!! Glad you like them both!! Yes I have 2 shih tzu pics like the Winston one on my fridge...it's kinda fun!! Oh yes, Mom was just on the phone and had said that a tornado touched down in Lawrenceburg. Yeeks....hope all you guys are ok.....sounds like you had a rodeo....haha reelin in for the basement!! Have a good night!! Lisa and Winston |

I get to go get Axl today at about 10:30! I have his vet appointment for 3:30 and he will most likely get his shots today, his breeder does her own and I asked her not to give them to Axl because my vet said that you never know if they were given properly, or stored properly so he just will start them over as if they never got the shots. His breeder said that Axl is almost 2 pounds...Jeter is 2 1/2 pounds so it will be funny to see them next to each other. Axl is expected to be about 5 pounds full grown. I hope Jeter likes him. He likes to play with my moms 3 girls so I think he will do fine. Yumi Yasha still has to wait till August 9 before she is home but i am so excited to be getting my new babies! Jeter was checking out Axl's crate that I set up last night and he keep trying to drag the blanket out of it, it was funny watching him. |
Aww I'm so happy for you!! I'm sure they will do great together. You are so lucky....I want another one so bad!! It just keeps getting pushed back further and further for me to get a girl. I hope I can soon though. I cant wait to see pictures of the first day home!! |
1 Attachment(s) Brandy - What exciting news! Can't wait to hear all about Axl. I'm sure Jeter and Axl will get along very well together. Just wanted to share a picture of the "herd" I am watching right now. Besides Piccolo, the picture includes my two sister-in-law's puppies, Coco and Cali, and the picture also includes Poquito. It was not easy for me to get a picture of all four, so it is not the greatest snapshot in the world. |
Lisa, What a bunch of cuties you have there! :) Puppy heaven for sure :p |
