I'm from Richmond, Indiana!
I have a 5 y/o named Cordell! HE came home on the 1st, after hubby convinced a lady that we would take especially good care of him. He was living in a cage after his other human mommy had passed away.

AWW that is so sad that his other mommy passed. I bet you are giving him a great home. He is adorable.

I'm sure Lynn wouldn't have given me your little boy :) I thought there was only 3, but there must have been 4 in that litter. I only saw 3 of the boys.
Lynn is a nice lady.

I did the same thing, we started talking to her on Jan. 5 and Abby wasn't born until Jan. 25. So it was a long wait.

There's a Denny's not to far from Lynn's house. If you want, we could meet there for dinner or lunch when you go to pick up Bandit. I could bring my hubby with me too.

I think a park would be nice if we do it early enough in the fall, so that it's not to cool.

Also if people are traveling, we may need to find a hotel that will accomodate pets.

There was only 3 boys. I would sure hope she wouldnt give my baby to another person :confused: I dont think she would do that. But I havent met her. I cant say anything bad about her. she has been so nice through all this. She is sending us pictures almost every week. I'm glad to know someone else that has gotten a puppy from her. People have been scaring me to death with stories and how I shouldnt trust some people that breed in their house and stuff like that. Its been scary, but now that I have met you it helps. Its hard living 4 hours from her house and never visited to see how it all works.

thats what I was thinking early in the fall. There are lots of hotels around. I stayed at the Laquita on the night of my wedding. its only two exits down from the park I am looking into. I know some of you may be thinking "Laquita, really?" well its the nicest one I've ever stayed in. I will check if they allow pets unless someone else beats me to it and posts it. Otherwise there are plenty of hotels off that same exit. I'll start checking into them to see whats best and see if we can maybe get a discount if so many people stay there.

I just stayed in a LaQuinta in Sandusky when I went this past weekend to my Dad's, and they allowed my little chihuahua to be with me!
(In this one, the room WASN'T the cleanest though!)

I think fall would be great!

(I'm going to Colorado in August though for the birth of another granddaughter...)

I know what you mean abou the LaQuinta in Sandusky I stayed up there once for Sleepless in Sandusky pool tournament (yes i'm a pool player) It wasnt as clean as I had hoped but since its called "Sleepless" it didnt matter too much since I wasnt there much. But I assure you the one here is way much cleaner. I am all about cleanliness (OCD obsessive compulsive dissorder, and I really have it, yes it sucks lol) You can pick any hotel you would like to stay in. I will get a list together hopefully tonight when I get home and let you all pick. and if you all agree on one or two places i'll see about a discount!! Oh I am just so excited about this!! :D

Your plans so far sound great and I can do any of that. Tatortot- my best friend lives in Fairfield too and I stay with her sometimes. My cousin used to live in Wildwood condos behind Forest Fair Mall. Laura my friend lives about a mile west from there close to a day care Jelly Bean Junction. I am so sorry about your lost baby. I remember following that thread when it happened. I know Argosy Casino well...our class reunion was held there, I went to Oak Hills Schools till I was a sophomore in high school and then moved to Lawrenceburg and graduated from East Central High School. This thread is funny...too small of world because I know AbbyPeanut Grace too!! She lives about 20 minutes from me. We can definitely carpool:) from our area!! Oh another small world....my husbands uncle is a dentist in Oakland City where you both are getting (got ) your babies!!! Not to invite myself.....but if you guys didn't mind and I wasnt working that sat, I would love to join you and AbbyPeanutGRace when you get the baby.:wave4: :wave4: ?? You guys will have brother and sister right? Wow that is wild!! I bet you are so excited. Tatortot are you also the one with the Silky rescue that you are trying to relocate?
