BUT althougt we're both young.. we both prefer being around people just a wee bit older than us;).. more common sense:p | Smart move...live your life and enjoy each other before you have kids. Kids are wonderful, but they totally change your life. I was 29 when I had my first. I'm almost 37 now.
A tarp is kind of like a thick plastic sheet that you can lay on the ground under your tent, and then drape another one over the tent, so that if it rains you don't get soaked. Most tents come w/ a cover that goes over the very top but most tents can't withstand a rainstorm. They're okay in a light drizzle, but if it rains for a while you'll end up w/ a wet tent. Ours was okay until it rained all day and all night...then we had a huge puddle inside our tent. You might not want the tarp over the top of your tent if there's no threat of rain, but it's still good to have just in case you need it. We always put one under our tent because it keeps the floor drier and it forms a barrier between the ground (rocks, roots, sticks, bugs, etc) and the bottom of your tent. You can get them at Walmart, sporting goods stores, I'm sure Target would have them in their camping dept. It's a pretty basic item. I hope you can find a tent that you like that isn't too expensive. |
