I am so so serious about camping.. there aren't many places here to go camping... at least nothing I have found.. Jakub and I have already said that we will drive the distance just to meet with Missy and TBK (and whomever wants to join us).. I went to Target today (mainly to get tennis balls for Evie) and we went to look at tents... omg I'm gonna need help with this.. they all look pretty much the same.. the price just jumps:rolleyes: |

Let me know when and where you're going camping and maybe we can meet. Sugar loves to go camping. Rem, my mini schnauzer, doesn't like it so he might get to stay w/ Gpa this year when we go camping. He just wanted to lay on the couch and watch tv. He's too funny...and very spoiled! |
Oh, I meant to ask if any of you have kids. I have two daughters who will be 6 & 8 this camping season. They love making new friends so if you have any kids (boys or girls) they'd love to meet them and make new camping buddies. |

BUT althougt we're both young.. we both prefer being around people just a wee bit older than us;).. more common sense:p |

A tarp is kind of like a thick plastic sheet that you can lay on the ground under your tent, and then drape another one over the tent, so that if it rains you don't get soaked. Most tents come w/ a cover that goes over the very top but most tents can't withstand a rainstorm. They're okay in a light drizzle, but if it rains for a while you'll end up w/ a wet tent. Ours was okay until it rained all day and all night...then we had a huge puddle inside our tent. You might not want the tarp over the top of your tent if there's no threat of rain, but it's still good to have just in case you need it. We always put one under our tent because it keeps the floor drier and it forms a barrier between the ground (rocks, roots, sticks, bugs, etc) and the bottom of your tent. You can get them at Walmart, sporting goods stores, I'm sure Target would have them in their camping dept. It's a pretty basic item. I hope you can find a tent that you like that isn't too expensive. |
My tent is called a "cabin tent" it has like 3 rooms. My daughters are a lil bit older. 18, 13 and 11. but they would love new friends! Ok ladies, so when we going???? |
