How often do you bath your baby? I give Roxy a bath once a week. She is good for them and loves to be clean. It has now started to get chilly here. What do I do to make sure she don't get sick or should I not bath her as much? |
I use to bathe mine that often, but there skin started to dry out so I do every week and a half to two weeks. |
I bathe Keno every 2-2.5 weeks, and she gets groomed every other month at the groomer's .... I blow dry her immediately ..... |
I bathe Madeleine once a week. If I don't the hair on her head starts to look greasy. |
Abbie gets bathed every fourth day, or she looks like a grease monkey :monkey:. |

Britney and Brooklyn are the same way. They look really gross after 7 days. :p |
I was bathing Ollie once a week at least ---sometimes more since he loves to get dirty in the back yard!!!! But now that he cant dry in the warm sun and air i use my blow dryer at the low heating till i am sure he is completely dry then i put a shirt on him. He gets very impatient getting dried but a bully stick seems to help! Oh and i also have been putting his towel in the dryer and then wrap him in the nice warm towel when the bath is over. |
I wash them every week to week in a half. Mine don't mind the dryer, so I blow dry them, so they won't get cold and sick. |
Roxy don't like the blow dryer. Now that is it getting cooler maybe she will like it. If Roxy don't get a bath she looks like we would with greasy hair. I feel so bad for her. I don't want her to look like a dirt ball. You can def tell the difference after a week on her. |
Once every one to two weeks depending on how stinky she gets. :p |
every thursday |
I would like to hear more about the greasy looking hair..I have a small girl that is ever so beautiful but after a few days she starts to look greasy.. So she gets a bath every week. Does anyone know of something good to use that would be better then what I use..I buy bio groom, Chris Christensen, all good shampoos and cream rinses and also ice on ice. would love to hear from someone who knows more then I do.. |
I say you blow dry so it keeps warm :) |
My babies get bathed every week, on Sunday. There are times though I will admit where I slack off a little :p Sometimes I am a few days late at getting them bathed, but they don't mind ;) |
Chip gets a bath once a week, usually after the park. Otherwise if I don't give him a bath once a week, he gets really stinky. Since he has short hair, giving him a bath more than that combined with the weather would make his skin really dry. He doesn't like the blow dryer, so I will try the towel fresh from the dryer tip. |
I bathe my boys every 10 days or so. I find if I use too much conditioner, they get that greasy look after about 4 days. So now I use very little condition and rinse them well, and they stay clean longer Also, I turn the heat up in the house before I bathe them and I blow dry them so they don't get a chill. :aimeeyork |
Maybe I need to sign Archie up for the Dirty Furkids Club because he only gets bathed every six weeks or so. Because he has some allergy problems, and his skin is sometimes irritated, his vet suggested I get him bathed every six or seven weeks (I don't do it myself, he goes to the groomer). BUT -- my pup does not get stinky! I wipe his little "areas" every night before bedtime so I never have a stinky little butt in my face. I brush him regularly and his hair does not get oily as some of you have mentioned. He is a condo dog, so we have no backyard for him to get too dirty in. He's almost two and he still smells like a baby to me! |
Both Dior n Diesel get a bath every Saturday. |
Rockie now gets a bath every friday. I brush him at least four times a week. |
I bathe Tinkerbell every 2 weeks because her skin can get dry, but if I could I would bathe her every week:rolleyes: |
i bathe romeo once a week - i try to every friday but if not then saturday morning! he hates a bath but he loooooves it when i blow dry his hair! he has fallen asleep several times in my lap while i am doing this. |
Mine get groomed about 3-4 times a year.the groomer is the next door neighbor, she said that in the long run, if you bahte them too much, you will dry out their hair, as your'e washing the natural oils out of them..Mine are all pee pad trained, so, they're not outside getting dirty.. |

........I bathe them one at a time as needed, no set schedule.....we have been out a lot lately on little trips so I bathed all three last night.....bella the chihuahua doesn't care for the hair dryer but I managed to dry her off w it anyway a little at a time and then I let her sleep in her sweater.....it was so much fun watching the three of them tear through the house chasing each other w this insane energy....they had a ball and so did I!! |
Every couple weeks unless they find something to roll in. I wash faces and brush every other day. |
I try to faithfully wash them once a week. |
