I am seriously considering hello to everyone: I am seriously considering getting a brother for Boobah. For the last two days I took her to a dog park where they can run free without a leash. She was in an area where it was "20lbs or under" for small dogs. At first I was leary about it, but when I let go of her leash, she ran like the dickens. She played with several dogs, not touching them but chasing each other. Then I got into motion. I ran with her from one end of the fence to the other. I did this about eight times. I really got some exercise! Then all of a sudden boobah jumped onto my lap and gave me that look like "I want to go home now"! So we packed up our stuff and left. Today, boobah gets her stitches taken out at 11am. She was spaded, about 3 weeks ago and is now ready. But I am considering getting her a brother. I really dont know, afterall, the grueling challenges I had with boobah when i first got her was something else. But now that I went through them with her, I believe I can handle a second dog. We live in a townhome, 4 floors here in the San Fernando Valley, close to where all the fires were! Thank God, they didnt reach here. Boobah runs up the stairs like a house a fire! Everywhere I take her, people on the street want to pet her, ask me questions etc. So what do you guys think? Should I get her a baby brother? |
I think she'd adore having someone to run and play with. If you're worried about going through the puppy stuff again, maybe someone here has an older pup for sale? Good luck in your search:D! P.S. Why were her stitches in for so long, that's a loooong time? |

It sounds like she had a great time at the park:) I say go for it:D :D a play mate every day would be nice for her:p |
2-3 weeks for the stitches is normal, at least down here. I had the last dog spayed, and was told to bring her back in 3 weeks, but she had them out way before then.. If you're going to go an older dog, I wouldn't go too old, my 5 year old hasn't been too good to the new one, even the 2 year old dog is ignoring her, although, I know in time he will be fine with her, the only one actually playing with her has been the 10 year old shih tzu, and thats only when she feels like playing..good luck... |
