What a thoughtful idea!! Thank you for posting this |
Wonderful I am new to YorkieTalk but when I saw these postings I knew I was in the right spot. I lost my 2 Yorkies in 2003. Dirk died from complications with Cushings Disease in October and Jake died in June from Liver Failure, they were both 14.5. My husband was in Iraq at the time and I wish I would have found this forum back then...I had great friends, vet, etc. but this site is amazing! Even though 2 years have passed I still think of my boys often. I even have their ashes, picture, and collars in my TV stand...my Mom thought it was a bit funny when she visited but most people don't even realize that it is my boys ashes, they just see the wooden boxes. It give me so much comfort to have them home with me in I place I can see. I now have a 2 year old Yorkie, Darby. I hope that those who have lossed Yorkies recently, as mentioned, will know that they are not alone...we will say some prayers for you! |
Thanks for the kind words. We were hit hard that weekend and we were kinda shell shocked about all the losses and then starting thinking of ways we can remember those yorkies as well as others who have been loved and lost. You must have had a rough six months back then losing both of your babies. I'm sure you're enjoying Darby. Welcome to YorkieTalk. Glad you found us. You will love it here and we're glad to have you!! |
