Lovely thought. I'm still counting the days since Sophie passed, 4 months ago yesterday (to the day) and 4 months on the 28th (calender time). It's so heart breaking whenever a beloved pet passes away. We know when we get them that the chances are we will have to say goodbye to them, but they fill our hearts so much that the price is worth it. Windy and Lida Rose |
:cry: Words cant discribe how I feel reading this thread and all the others about people losing there furbabies but one thing I do know is that the people in this web site are some of the best and will help everybody who has lost a loved one get thru the pain. This is such a wonderful idea! I was nothing but tears reading the poem. I had no idea until I opened this post about the loss of the Yorkies. I have not been on here for a few days and this happend to be the first thread I opend when I logged onto YT today. THis is so sad to hear and I will have all the families in my heart and prayers. |

As the time passes it will get easier. there will still be days where you can't help but cry but then there are those days where you have to laugh thinking about some of the funny things Mocha did. Wonderful I am new to YorkieTalk but when I saw these postings I knew I was in the right spot. I lost my 2 Yorkies in 2003. Dirk died from complications with Cushings Disease in October and Jake died in June from Liver Failure, they were both 14.5. My husband was in Iraq at the time and I wish I would have found this forum back then...I had great friends, vet, etc. but this site is amazing! Even though 2 years have passed I still think of my boys often. I even have their ashes, picture, and collars in my TV stand...my Mom thought it was a bit funny when she visited but most people don't even realize that it is my boys ashes, they just see the wooden boxes. It give me so much comfort to have them home with me in I place I can see. I now have a 2 year old Yorkie, Darby. I hope that those who have lossed Yorkies recently, as mentioned, will know that they are not alone...we will say some prayers for you! |
Thanks for the kind words. We were hit hard that weekend and we were kinda shell shocked about all the losses and then starting thinking of ways we can remember those yorkies as well as others who have been loved and lost. You must have had a rough six months back then losing both of your babies. I'm sure you're enjoying Darby. Welcome to YorkieTalk. Glad you found us. You will love it here and we're glad to have you!! |
