White on chest at 12 weeks OK everyone, I admit when we choose a yorkie I had not done adequate research but I have been reading this site daily (love it) and I have a question. My guy has some white spots on his chest. Should I be concerned about piebald (sp) or have him spayed or do you think they will turn tan or something? I think I successfully uploaded a pic to my gallery but I don't really know how to get to it to be sure, but any input will be appreciated |

I was the same as you I just stumbled on My Tank. I wouldnt worry, Tank had a white chest when I got him and its all grown out now at 6 months. From what Ive been told its typical and means nothing important. Youll be shocked at how much color change these guys go through.:) |

Welcome to Y.T.....From what I understand a small patch of white on the chest is an indicator of a good coat.... not a bad thing....I'm sure some one else can elborate more on this for you... |

Rocky has and always had a white star on his chest, I think its cute, his butt is white too. I read that it is normal. |

Autumn does not have any white on her but then again I got her at 5 1/2months so she could of as a real young pup. But our new little man has alittle white spot on his chest and a little white spot on his back right foot. I think it looks so cute! |

Welcome to YT. He may be a parti, but you'll have to wait and see how his coat grows. |

The little bit of white on their chest at that age is very common |

White on chest is not a sign of piebald or anything else except that they will very likely have a nice silky coat and be gold where the white is now. i have only had one puppy born that DIDN't have white markings on the chest. |

How long does it take for the white on their chest to turn to gold or does it always turn? My Jo-Jo will be 3 on December 2nd and he still has a white chest. |
