HYPERActive! My puppy is ordinarily pretty calm, except lately between the hours of 7-10pm, he is on fire! He runs around barking at everything being totally crazy, and he won't sit still for a minute. It's like he's possessed. I've tried taking him out for long walks/play before this time to drain his energy, but it doesn't work. He used to be really good during this time, just cuddling up with me on the sofa :( Does anyone know what could be causing this sudden bout of craziness? |
hahaha... hormones??? I think he might be getting bored with the daily routine. |
That's funny that you joke about hormones, because my sister said the same thing! She said that maybe he is going through his teenage years . . . :) |
You are not alone! Around 9pm Marcus decides that he wants to go crazy. He runs around like a mad man and terrorizes Bruiser chasing him around the couch. It's really funny to see all 2 lbs of him barking, pawing, and jumping at his brother who is 12 lbs. It makes me laugh so hard!:D Then when it's time to get in bed, he pounces in the he covers until he realizes that he isn't getting the attention he wants. Then he decides to settle down and get back to the cuddling! It's so cute!:p |
Glad to know that there are other night owls out there! Maybe they sense that it's nearing bedtime and they decide to get it all out while they still can. |
Tank is like that too!! My husband says he deos it to drive him crazy. It doesnt matter what kind of day we had at 8pm when my husband want to calm down and relax in front of the TV Tank strats up. |
Lucy can get fired up to in the evening no matter how much exercise she has had. I think she's like a baby in that she's fighting going to sleep...lol :) |
lol, here it's 8pm as soon as the kids go to bed the real fun starts It would be ok if he didn't bite and when I tell him stop he growls and bites more and runs in circles just to come back and bite again. I love the hyper can live without the biting, whoever said little dogs bites don't hurt didn't own a pup like mine glad to hear he's not the only one |
It doesn't what I try to do, mine can get wound up at anytime. I'll take them outside and try to play fetch or frisbee with them, but that doesn't even tire them out. |
Lol LOL, I was like you in thinking that my Rocco was just crazy. About 8 after the kids go to bed, he goes nuts running all over the house and barking and trying to growl (its so funny when he does this) at every little thing he sees. It's almost like he's saying "wooohooo, kids are in bed now it's time to play". They have the funniest personalities sometimes. |
My little guy is like that too. I took him out to a college event last night and he was jumping up on ppl (and hes a high jumper!, then he'd see his leash and run in circles trying to catch it and wrap himself up in it. |
Thats the normal around here, never fails they always want to chase each other at night:rolleyes: around 8pm they start and finish by 830, then nite nite:p :p hubby left his paper plate on the coffee table last night, we steped out for a few mint and when we came back in.... it was tore into a zilloin pieces... Im like ok who did it:confused:  lol, were pretty sure it was molly the monster;) ;) |
Bella runs around like a possess woman between 11pm and 3 am. She'll run up and down the stairs and back to the room a zillion times. Occasionally, bringing a pair of sneakers to bed with us. |
