TUMI IS GETTING A SISTER FROM SUGAR'S MOM! DEE HAS BEEN SOOO NICE AND SO HELPFUL ANSWERING QUESTIONS. WE ARE SO THRILLED! THE NEW BABY GIRL NAME IS SHAY IS I THINK SHE LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE TUMI. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?

she will be here on Saturday! She is flying in..I wish we could pick her up but KY is really far drive from VA. Both Dee and i feel really bad but that's the best arrangement for us. i have never gotten a puppy shipped before. What should i do or expect when i pick her up? Should we bring Nutri cal? How can we make her feel safe and comfortable with us? I know it's a stressful trip for her. I just want the best for her. Both Dee and I will be worried when she's on the plane.

I would bring nutri-cal, some water, baby wipes and a towel or blankie in case she has an accident. I's also ask Dee to put a blankie or towel from her house that smells like home. CONGRATS! She's gorgeous!

I have one more question? is it possible for me to give her a new name? she's about 8 months old so would it be hard?

I dont think so at all! She'll prolly get it within a week or two..say her new name and give her a little treat.. then graduate to when shes in another room, call her new name and give her a treat. Good luck!

Oh lucky YOU!!!!!!! I've been eyeballing Shay but my hubby said N O:cry:

I'm sure that she'll pick up her new name quickly, just use it with Shay at first, then you can drop the Shay part later on.

My fiance was not sure about getting a new baby but he saw Shay's pic and he gave in..Now he keeps saying he is gonna have to put up with 3 little Bees including me. lol..now he's the only boy in the household. he wanted a boy before but now he is already in love with Shay!

her actual AKC name is Dee's Lil Shady Lady of the Night. Shay fior short but baby is what she knows best. i think you will be able to change her call name without any problems, Of course you know you can't change it on the AKC paper but you can call her anything you want to. i am excited that she is getting such a wonderful home but will worry myself to death until she arrives safe and sound. BTW, for you others that were eyeeballing her, I have a new litter;)
