Need Advice and Suggestions! Hi Everyone, I have been looking for a sibling for Tumi for a while and I came across one of Dee's puppy name Shay who is 7 months old. She is such a cutie and we are seriously considering about getting her. I heard stories about how having 2 girls can be tough and sometimes they don't get along. Is that true? I never had 2 before so i need advice!!Tumi is spayed and if we get Shay, we will spay her also. I dunno if that helps? Also we do travel a lot so, do you know if the airline will let us take two puppies with us on the cabin. They are both small about 4 lb each. here is the link to the pic of Shay http://www.deeslilyorkshireterriers....oradoption.htm I would really really love to get some advice and suggestions on having two girls! Thanks!! I posted this before under a wrong forum. :D |
How old is Tumi? I have four girls :D My oldest, Vixxen will be 4 in December and she is used to being the "only child" or princess, if you will. The others I have a just around a yr old and Gemma is younger. All of them play very well together, but most of the time Vixxen would rather be left alone. She rarely likes it when the others jump on her and try to play. But I've never had any fights or anything like that....to me, they all have fun and I'm glad I have them. Sometimes I think 3 would have been plenty though  If you carry one on the airplane and your husband or someone can carry on the other one, they will let you bring them both that way. But do make sure you know how many pets are allowed on the plane and that the maximum is not met! |

I only have one yorkie right now but I plan to have like 3-4 females eventually. I'm pretty sure it's just intact females that have major problems with each other. Same with intact males. |
3 Attachment(s) better pictures than the one on my website. |
I have always had girl dogs(have one boy), they all get along..right now, my female shih tzu who will be 10 years in March, is the one doing the most playing with the 12 week old female yorkie..they will do fine..as far as traveling on a plane with them, there are so many dogs per coach/first class that is allowed..they have to be in a crate that will fit under the seat... |
Didn't it say this puppy has already been spayed? Or is that a different puppy? |
She is adorable. I know there are a lot of people on here who have more than one female with absolutely no problem. V has two girls for example and they get along ok. Actually she has 3 girls counting the cocker. As for the airlines, they allow 3 or 4 pets per plane, depending on the airline. I believe one person can take one pet. I don't know if you can put two in a case together, but the total weight can't exceed 15#, including carrier. If you are traveling with someone else, you may each take a pet in cabin, provided they don't exceed the limit of 3 or 4 allowable. |
double the fun .... I have 2 girls, Monday is 5 years old and Friday is 11 months old. They play together nicely, however, if Monday is on my bed and I bring Friday up, Monday will leave ... and yet, there are times, they will both stay on the bed, but apart from each other. It is peaceful coexistence. Monday was spoiled for 4½ years so this was a disruption ... she seems to have adapted ... oh, both are spayed ... of course! and they each weigh less than 5 pounds. I say go for it .... Shay looks beautiful!!! Quote:

Shay is not spayed but Tumismom plans to spay her IF she decides to get her. |
I have 3 females, 2 are Yorkies 2 1/2 a nd almost 2 years old and a 10 year old pom. They have their moments of bickering but have never hurt or been hurt. Mostly some warning growls. They all will snuggle up together too. So I say go for it!! |
