A Couple Questions? I have a couple questions. 1) At what age, would you classify a Yorkie as a senior? 2) What would you recommend for an approx 6 yr old to eat if they have lost all/almost all of their teeth? TIA |
I donno but I would try asking your vet they may have an idea or two! Good luck! |
Dogs are usually considered senior at seven years but since Yorkies live longer that could be pushed to nine or ten from what I've heard. I wouldn't feed kibble at all if that is the case. How about canned? |
I don't know about what age is senior, I think even amoung each breed different dogs "age" at different rates. I think that is better determined by the general health and attitude of each individual dog. As far as the feeding, I was just reading about dog's with no teeth earlier and they suggested to feed softened hard food or canned food. |
THanks for your suggestions...I figure I have some reading to do... |
