tricks for graduation I have to show Pebbles a new trick before her puppy graduation. Does anyone have an easy one. She knows sit, down, stay, and we are working on rollover but it sure is hard? Any suggestions???? |
I taught Genie to fetch. I started with a soft frisbee and threw it at her. When she fetched it and brought it back to me I gave her a treat( you can buy them at PetSmart or wherever it is more convenient) for you. She only got the treat if she gave it back to me. It takes a little time and effort but it can be done. Good luck. |
I taught my large dog to roll over--it was really easy. Have him lay down and put a treat by his nose. Move the treat behind his head in the direction you want him to roll over. Say the words while you're doing it. You might have to roll him over the first several times, but he'll eventually get it. Good luck! :) |
I am really trying hard to teach her this, but boy when she goes down and i try to put the cheese on top of her head she gets up |
Could you teach her a useful command? Seems she is already into some of them but does the instructor want something cutesy or helpful? The very first command my dogs MUST learn is "DROP IT!".. The need for that was reinforced 2 days ago when I spilled some meds out of a prescripton bottle I just kept repeating the command-I have differing ages so they are at different levels in learning..They were all looking at this mommy, down on her knees crawling around the floor saying "Drop It" and they idn't have a thing in their mouths . But you bet they got smoochies and treats for being such good babies.. |
How about hi 5 or hi 10. My sister taught her dog both. It is so cute and it was really easy to teach. Of course, she had to use lots of treats in the beginning. |
