Speaking of petshops/puppymills. Is divapup.com a puppymill type pet shop or is it where breeders come together on one website and sell their own puppies? I came across Diva Pup when I was look online at Yorkie pics when I first started looking at Yorkies. There are just SO many puppies and they are SO expensive, I have always wondered? I just kind of get a feeling that those puppies aren't as "happy" as they try to make them seem. Am I right? I just saw they have a yorkie going for $7500 right now! |
I would stay away from Diva Pup |
The best advice I can give is, follow your heart. If something seems even the slightest bit off to you, then stay away. I dont know anything about them so I cant say for sure but if it doesnt feel right, look elsewhere. |
http://www.puppykiss.com/ what do you guys think of this place Trustworthy ???? |

I dunno but they advertise "teacup" yorkies and charge twice as much for them, PLUS they advertise "true blue" yorkies. Blue is rare, but its not always desired. I dunno... |

Oh, I am NOT thinking about buying from them!! I just cam across that website, and a red flag went off thinking *this could be a puppymill* and I was wondering if I was right. I really like to buy from someone that I can talk to face to face. I am a worry wart and like to see the pet and where they live before I buy. I also like the fact that I can drive to my breeders house and talk to her if I have a question. |
That's the best thing to do. WHen I bought prince and angel, I didnt know any better. I didnt even know what a puppymill was! Im so lucky that they are healthy. I dont know the breeders at all. I found prince on a breeders site and angel on puppyfind.com I was fortunate to have a good experience but that's not always how it works out. |

Yes I know. All to often, good hearted people get their hearts broken do to carlessness of these places. If only there was a way to know for sure who's legit and who's not. Like making it a lay that they be registered with the US government and be open to inspection randmonly, once a month. Not like USDA inspection but serious inspection. The laws need to change too. It needs to be said that if they are not provided with balanced nutrician, medical care, and, the proper exercise, that they should be shut down and the dogs confiscated. There should also be a law that states how many puppies and breed they are allowed to have at one time. |
 $7,500.00 what is he made of ? Better be super extra good quality . |

Gold and platinum apparently lol. That's a LOT to spend. I dog get how they even have the courage to ask someone for that amount. Im not saying my babies arent worth that, its just that its so extreme. Not many people will pay that. I know there are a few out there that would, but like I said...a FEW. |
Divapup is a brokerage just as Wizard of Claws. Just as there are good breeders and bad breeders there are good brokers and bad brokers. Anyone considering buying from a large brokerage would have to do a lot of extra homework and you would have to realize that you will pay A LOT MORE because of the "middle man" in the deal who is making more. I have seen the same puppies on DivaPup and Puppyfind.com and the price was a lot less on Puppyfind because you are dealing directly with the breeder and no middle man is getting a share. JMHO. |
I got angel on puppyfind. I didnt have any probs there. She was $1195 including shipping. |
Both of those site look bad to me, and the prices are CRAZY! :thumbdown |
I have a friend who was looking at a maltipoo on puppykiss. I guess she called the lady and the lady was a complete B****. My friend said that it was so hard to hear the lady because of all the dogs barking in the background. I personally dont like the way that they have all kinds of breeds that they are selling. To me it seems like a puppy mill. JMO |
Going thru puppyfind is not going to guarantee you a good quality puppy from a good breeder. There are listing on puppyfind that raise red flags. Here's an example of a yorkie I found on puppyfind. http://www.puppyfind.com/view_listin...26page%25253D1 Poor little thing! The breeder does mention that they are a "small" family owned kennel in Oklahoma. When doing a search on Kiamichi Kennel I came up with so many hits , so many locations, so many breeds it does "confuse" me and raise questions. |

I was told that one of those sites considers anything under 7lbs to be "teacup" among a few other things I found questionable. It is really a shady area when it comes to brokered puppy sites and all the gimmicks they use to get a sale. At this point for me, if it's not pups from your very own sweethearts then my red flag's going up. That's just how I feel at this point after everything I've seen and heard. I'm sure that there are some reputable brokers out there, just very few I think. |
I totally agree with you Luvmypupster. I know Yorkies come in a wide variety but that certainly is very questionable. Poor baby. |
