How do you apply? Bought some almond oil today and just wondered if those of you that use it could tell me how you apply? Do you spray lightly directly on the hair? Do you apply a little in your hands and lightly rub it through the hair? Maybe spray a bit on their brush and brush through? Posting here cause noone was viewing the grooming section. |
hmm I don't know, but really should. :p |
I was told by my groomer than I should use the brush method:aimeeyork |
I use the emu oil and I just put a capful in a cup or two of warm water and use that as the final rinse for Zoe. That's what mardelin told me to do. :) Can't take the credit myself. Anyways, I thought almond oil was the same but not sure. |
I use almond oil with Sissy and after I finish bathing, before I blow-dry, I lightly spray the almond oil on her coat. If I use it in the rinse water, or spray on after she is dry she just looks too greasy. Haven't tried the brush method as I only use a comb on her. |

Oh well, it will be bath time Saturday and I will try it the way you suggested and see how that works. Thanks |
I mix one capful in about 2 cups of warm water. The trick is to make sure you shake it up real good before applying. After your baby is all bathed and still wet pour it all over coat from the neck back. I do not apply it to the ears or head. The squeeze off the excess water and wrap in a towel for a bit to dry out the most of the water. I find this works best and does not leave them so greasy. Best of luck!! You will have to bath more often as the oils do attract more dirt to them. It sure helps though with the coat and skin!!! |
