yorkies Just wondering do you leave your babies in Air Conditioning all day? |
I t hasn't been hot enough here for the AC yet, but yorkies are prone to over heating so I would definitely have the air or a fan on if it is hot where you are. |
Thank you I have my AC on 24 hours, seven days a wk., but I do know of some people that leave a fan on. Even though here it gets very hot! |
I know this sounds crazy but we keep our house at 78 all the time. I am always cold so I prefer 80 but everyone else likes it a little cooler. But since this is texas and its 110 outside :D that means yes the a/c is on all day! |
I am the exact same way and am dealing with the same 110 plus temps. We have our thermostat set at 78 year round too. It's a dry heat my ace...it's hot and 78 feels pretty comfy compared to outside! It is midnight here and it's still almost 100 so we would die without air 24 hours a day... |
Lately it's been hot (80's and 90's) here in Wisconsin, and the humidity has been outrageous. I always have a fan on, and the ac is on most of the time. The dogs do fine with this. :) |
I usually leave the AC on at 75 degrees. That way it's not cold, but if it gets too hot, the air will be good. |
We keep ours at 78 and it seems perfect. |
My boyfriend is a MONSTER...lol...our thermostat is kept at 67-68 degrees (by our landlord) during the summer...it is FREEZING for me....BUT my boyfriends thinks andymore and it is hot????..so Maximus and I have pj's and sweaters on in the house and blankets...lol |
We leave our AC on non stop during the summer. When it's winter time, the heat is on (not to hot though) and we keep a fan on. They seem to like that. |
Here in Texas, we are running full time air. I would not consider turning it off when we were gone. Upstairs the kids try to run theirs on 60, it is a constant battle to make them leave it alone. I add a chore everytime I catch them. Since the cold air comes down to us, I keep ours on 78 and freeze in the livingroom, sweat in the bedroom (even sleeping.) |

If it is extremely hot (80's+) then the air stays on. If not, we leave a fan on and a few windows open (ones that no one can get into) |
ac is on here ! |
It's usually about 75 in my house and my dogs like it! :) |
Due to the texas heat, we try to keep the air conditioning on at about 75. When I clean and tidy up around the house, I open the windows so it's not too stuffy inside and because of all the cleaning products, it really is not safe for both humans and animals inhaling fumes. I keep my babies cool with an electric fan while the windows are up but it can only do so much. I think some of the YTers from texas would agree with me on this hehehhehehe |

AMEN!!! I keep it a a very nice 68 in my house. I've got enough insulation to stay warm swimming in the Bering Sea. My boyfriend is itty-bitty (I mean supermodel small) and he's always complaining about how cold it is! Oh well, you can always put clothes on, but you can't always take them off. |
When we leave, we turn our A/C off - but Sully is never alone in the house for more than 3 hours and we always leave the fan blowing. But then again it never gets too hot in our house, really...for us it gets uncomfortable hot but never miserable. And when we do leave Sully we make sure there's plenty of water for him to drink....and toys to play with....etc. |
I usually will leave the fan on for Olivia- usually pointing at her cage. Our apartment doesn't get a lot of direct sunlight into the windows, so it doesn't get too unbareable. I'm constantly fighting with my bf about the AC- I'll be freezing under a blanket and he's hot. If it's a real hot and humid day, I'll turn the AC on for about an hour in the bedroom before I leave for work. Our bedroom is small so it stays cool for quite a while. I usually do the same at lunch, also. |
