ellen omg i cried when i seen this, i really think the organization should have investigated the family before taking it away from the family http://tv.yahoo.com/the-ellen-degene...videos/4551695 |
How very sad, though frankly I was happy that the dog is alive as I thought maybe a real tragedy had occurred, like the family that took the dog had in some way lead to it's death. I sometimes can't bring myself to read those threads as it is just too sad! |
 ......outrageous. Sending love to those two little girls and peace to Ellen. |
Kyle posted about this in Off Topic and I have to say, I cried too  I watched the video earlier today of Ellen begging and pleading for them to give the dog back and it just completely broke my heart. This whole thing just ISN'T right :cry8: |
I missed that episode of Ellen and just watched the clip. That just breaks my heart, it appears the pup was in a wonderful home with children to love it. I do not understand why the rescue organization made such a decision without even investigating the circumstances of the dogs new home. |
I was listening to the radio on the way to work, and they were talking about this. Geez, why couldn't the rescue organization have just investigated the family and left the puppy there! So sad! |
I hope no one gets offended but I feel its all about money. If she returned the dog to rescue they would charge the next family an adoption fee. I think they were upset because no money was exchanged from the new family to the rescue. I see rescues on craigslist everyday trying to scoop up the yorkies, maltese, and any other small breed they take them to the vet (which more than likely charges them very little) and then post them with an adoption fee because its a pure breed and has been vetted . what happen to the pitbulls and rotties on craigslist...why dont they help them? things that make you go hmmmmm |
I put this in Kyle's thread but there is a petition to get Iggy back here- http://www.petitiononline.com/FreeIggy/petition.html |
great thanks:) |
i signed.... broke my heart... ellen is so down to earth and she is right....pup was in a good home...ruthless to take him out... and did they think ELLEN D. was going to give it to bad people??? |
she admitted to signing that document though, so in the end Ellen shouldn't have been so careless. I mean, don't most of those organizations have a rule you can't give the animals away? |
I dont EVER say anything controversial here, but alot of rescue groups dont have their hearts in the right place... I tried for over A YEAR to adopt before I broke down and bought my Tootie and again when I got little Hopey. The only ones that answered me didnt "approve" me because of the some of the craziest things.. I had other dogs, what does that even mean? That I love dogs? The other was that I had a "large" dog... It seems to me that the firsts people they would want to give babies to would be one like mine.. I mean, my kids complain cuz I like the dogs better... I sure hope that baby goes back to his family! d |

I watched the show this morning and I cried my eyes out. I could not believe a rescue(which is supposed to make sure pups are safe) could do this. To question Ellen is just plain not right. She is such an animal person that she would never put a pet in harms way. Heck she paid her vet extra to take this pup home and sleep with it. I just do not understand things like this sometimes. I hope everyone gets the chance to see this video and sign that petition. |
