Please NEED answers to a few questions Question 1 My Duchess is loosing her baby teeth and some teeth are now new, however, I noticed that one old baby tooth became crooked because a new tooth is coming out, then why the old original tooth did not fall yet? Question 2 Thursdays is trash pick up, When I haul the trash can on wheels from the back yard to the street every Wednesday night, Duchess barks at the trash can furiously and she wants to attack and bite the trash can! What is going on here? what should I do? she does not like the trash can, is this normal? Question 3 Duchess does not like to eat from a dish or a bowl, she is scared of them, she only eats dry food from my hand or from the floor, and so I sometimes scatter her food on the carpet and she likes to eat it from the carpet floor, is that normal? Question 4 Duchess likes to eat Cashews and other nuts, is it OK to give her nuts? Thanks in advance for any answers I get |

Jolie barks at things which surprise her , like ballons and signs blowing in the wind. They eat lots of things ... nuts is one of them ... carrots, apples, cheese. They are just wonderful and I love them so. |
Answer #1 - Sometimes, teeth just take longer to fall out in our Yorkies-"Small Breeds". It is also common for Yorkies-"Small Breeds" to retain some of their baby teeth and later, they should be extracted. Vets usually do the extractions when the puppy is undergoing their spaying or neutering. Answer #2 - I would not be too concerned about the trash can...Is is the trash bin or the noise that is upsetting her? I would assume that she would get use to it after a while but I know many don't ever get use to the things that "bother" them. Sorry I do not have much advice on this. I am sure someone on here will have some great pointers for you. Answer #3 - Many Yorkies are picky eaters. Mine like to pick up a few kibbles at a time and take them to where they would like to eat-be it the carpet, the bed, on the couch or right by the bowl. I do however, put the food in their bowl, I would try to give it to her in the bowl. Wish I had more advice for you... Answer #4 - Here are two links right here on YT about food, the first one is Dangerous Foods http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43555 , the second is Poisonous Foods http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35792 Good luck... :p |
When you feed her, try using a small flat plate...not a bowl. Maybe the 'sides' of the bowls are bothersome to her. |
