I'm glad to hear that Yoda is doing okay! Amazing how we worry about these little furbabies! Glad he's back home with you! |
Did Yoda get a Poop-Party ? :D |
When I saw that this post was still listed, I was afraid that Yoda had still NOT POOPED. I was just getting ready to suggest a BIGGER POO BOX, to be ready when it did happen. Happy to hear that he got a load off his mind, or is it the other end? ;) |
Yay, Yoda had a BIGGGGGGGGGGG POOP today! It took him 10 minutes of squatting, but after running around at Grandma's house (lots of open grass field), he finally did it. We are SO relieved! He feels like two pounds lighter now. ;) He is very exhausted now and just napping away! |
Poor little Yoda! I am so glad that he's getting back in his routine! Puppy kisses from Toto! ;) |
So glad Yoda is ok. Tell him I only like to go at home too! |
Bravo for the bm Yoda! Try the Brewer's Yeast for the fleas...I swear by it now! |
Lady Ferrgison dutches of yorkies Fergie hasent pooped in 3 days everything seems normal she plays ball barks at cats through window and runs to the door to yell at the postman. We only know she hasent because we watch her close. I have read the treatments and thank everyone for them. I will try some of them. My question is I have been giving Fergie Glucosamine for years to keep her joints in good shape. Her vet says it's OK but they are not sure it has any effect (the jury is still out) Anyone know of any downside of Glucosamine could it cause constipation ? Fergies Dad.:aimeeyork |

The joys of the YorkieTalk archive! Yoda did have a big poop today tho! Maybe he saw this thread was revived! ;p Yoda's been very regular, about once a day since we switched him to the Low Fat food and rice diet. And he gets good exercise, though he's just chilling now and sleeping at work! |

I remember this so well ... poor little Yoda. That certainly was back in "the day" ... can't remember ever being so proud of a little Yorkie going poop!:thumbup: |
Mine like to try to trick me by eating their poop if I am not around. Always know the truth when they try to give me kisses - poopy breathe is no good! |

YOU can go tell them to go do something... cuz I sure ain't waking two sleeping Yorkies for no reason! ;p Yoda's on the left, Winky on the right... I had to stealthily take the picture, to not wake up the royal princes of course, so it's a teeny bit blurry! :D |
I would first try running warm water on his anal area. That a might help relax his muscles and stimulate him to go. I would also try holding him up using a towel or shirt as a slip. I hope Lucky feels better. Welcome to YT. I suggest that you ask the administrators or moderator to move your post to a new thread. You might get more responses that way. |
A couple of months ago I had to take one of my girls to the vet because she was bloated. She was constipated so they gave her an enema and I had to back off of her food and snacks a little. I agree with soaking in warm water and also you can try a heating pad set on low and massage his belly. If you have heated car seats in your vehicle you can also try a couple of car rides. These may not be quick relief so a trip to the vet might be in order. Four days is a long time. They also sell suppositories for dogs at petsmart and petco. As far as oral things I'm not sure what to give them. |
If it were me,I would have called my vet on day 2, but, that's me. Call your vet, they may be able to help you on the phone or may ask you bring him in. PLEASE contact your vet, 4 days is a long time. |
So sorry to hear your baby got hurt. Because he is hurt and it's affecting his ability to stand on his own, I think this calls for a necessary vet visit. If he is injured already, it could be that doing anything to help him go could do further damage. If it were me, I'd want my vet administering any form of aid for this. The back and spine are very sensitive, and I think injuries in that area can affect bowel movements, and I would want to run this information by my vet at the very least. Keep us posted. |
I agree that you should take him to your vet to find out what is going on. As far as his back legs being hurt, did they take X-rays? Please keep us updated on how he is doing when you can. |
