Need some opinions and suggestions: Our new little girl Callie is about 15 or so weeks, and I adore her! She came home about 5 days ago and is doing really well. Plays with Turbo and us and is really happy. But, every once in a while she will start panting a lot out of no where, and sometimes shaking too. I have been giving her nutrical when this happens, but just wanted your opinions on it. Also, she will start shaking when she is being held. Nothing traumatic (to our knowledge) has happened to her. She plays, is well mannered, uses her potty pads and even dominates Turbo when they are playing. I just thought it was a little odd, and my other dogs that I have had, never had these displays. Just curious and wondering what you all thought of it (you are all sooo helpful and smart on here!). Thanks! |
How is she after you give the nutrical? My quess would be low blood sugar. How often does she eat and how well? |
was she on a plane? |
She eats pretty well, and often. After the Nutrical, it takes a while for her to stop shaking. Also, if we put her down on the ground instead of holding her she will stop, sometimes not. I am wondering if she is just a little ball of nerves? But she is soooo well behaved! A perfect little lady. Nah, she wasnt flown, I actually got her about 15 mins from my home. I just want her to feel 100% I have been giving her nutrical about twice a day to help prevent it...just seems like sometimes she is just a shakey little thing. |
It could be she is just a more nervous type of dog. I know my Jewels is. I would just keep your eyes on her that age you worry about low blood sugar too . Jewels was really little when I brought her home and she never shook. She shakes more now as an adult |
