Need ideas for where to put pee pads 1 Attachment(s) Right now i keep the peepads next to my bed cause there's a little space there where ppl don't see it first thing they come visit. I just put them on the floor with nothing around them cause my 3 are paper trained. However London used to go #2 under my bed so i had to put cardboard around it with plastic on top but Teddy lifts his leg to pee and the pee would roll under my bed and stain the floor! I just cleaned my whole room and it was gross under there. I had to take off the cardboard and the plastic cause it all smelled like pee, i didn't even know it would fall under there. Dang Teddy. I don't want to put another cardboard cause i think it looks ugly. So anyway now it's clean but i need something that i can put their peepads in that they have to go in, something like a little doorway with walls so the pee won't fall out. Anyone have any ideas or wanna share what you do? See you can see the cardboard in the back in this pic except now it had plastic over it and the pee pads are next to it. Help! Thanks! |
How about one of those pee pad trays?? It is kind of like a litter box tray for cats, but you put a pee pad in it?? I do not use one, but have see pictures on a thread here. |
Does it have sides that go up so that the pee doesn't fly everywhere for males? |
1 Attachment(s) I had to edit my reply. I read very quickly and thought you were looking for something to put your peepads in for storage. Anyway this is what I use to store them in. Collapsable box. This one is from petedge. I tried using the square thing we bought at PetSmart to hold down the peepads and my girls just pulled the peepads out. They hated the peepad in that for some reason. We tried the doggie litter box, putting the peepads in it. That did not work either because they would not get in it and go. We just put them on the floor. Sorry, I am of no help, but would like to see what others say. I hate having them out in the open but I have decided not to fight the battle and put the peepads were they tend to go. One of my furbabies will even poo on the pads. |

I just bought a pee pad tray(as all 3 of mine are pee pad trained also), well, when I got home lastnight, they had all peed about 3 inches away from it, as they didn't know how to get in it to pee...as far as the little boy lifting his leg(I'm lucky, mine doesn't lift his leg), my friend told me what she did for her leg lifter was to put a piece of rolled up (to look like a ball)newspaper in the middle of it, as they like to pee on something, this way he would lift his leg on the little newspaper ball..I keep 2 pee pads out, one in the laundry room and one in the family room..go to www.drsfostersmith.com type in piddle pad trays...I got the least expensive one, it's really nice, they just aren't sure how to use it..pet smart has them too at their stores, but, they're more expensive(even with the shipping that drsfostersmith charges). |
The tray is a great idea. Also you could try wrapping another pee pad round a large pop bottle and putting it in the middle of the pee pad, it might give Teddy something to aim at. |

How about one of those under the bed plastic stoage boxes? Big enough to put the pee pad in, 4 sided, and easy to wash out in the tub. |

I was looking on the site. The tray, he would prob. pee outside of it. But this fire hydrant looks cool. I think that would work to put in the middle. If i rolled up newspaper in the middle he would rip it up and play with it:rolleyes: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...0&pcatid=13150 |

1 Attachment(s) Here is one that Petsmart has online. It also comes with "doggie litter" but some peole just use pee pads. It has 3 sides, and a nice opening for them tho get into. I think it might be worth a try.......... or go to your nearest Walmart and see if they have a cat tray that will hold a pee pad!! (as you can see, it looks like a cat tray... and I don't see why it wouldn't work) Attachment 155891 Sorry, I looked, and couldn't find the thread on this subject... Good Luck! Hope you find something that works for ya! |
There is a thread on here where some members buy little child size tents for the pads, I thought this was a great idea, this is great for both cocking the leg and keeping them out of site. |
