New to board/ my pup got neutered today Hello, my pup names is Sam and he is 5 1/2 months old (he will be 6 months old on oct 15th) and just got neutered today. so far he's doing okay. just kind of out of it a little. he did eat a little but doesn't want to drink water and hasn't gone pee pee either (is that normal? ) :animal36 :animal-pa :animal36 |
1 Attachment(s) first off... WELCOME!!! I have a girl so i don't know FIRST hand but when Layla got spayed she didn't want to eat or drink... i would put water on my finger in hopes that she would lick it off.. and she did.. and i also had to hold her up to go pee... she was THAT drowsy!! it was sad. lol... so don't worry he sounds normal!!! tomorrow he will still probbaly be very groggy but you will notice he is much better! watch those stiches... you might want to go get a baby onesie to put on him so he doens't lick at them. This is Layla in her onesie in case you arne't sure what i am talking about :) |
Welcome to YT!!!! He is probably just tired from having his surgery. Give him a day or so I am sure he will be back to his normal self! |

Hi and Welcome to YorkieTalk!!! :D :) I can't offer much help with your little guy being neutered. He seems to be doing alright and will probably bounce back up in a couple days.. |

My little girl hasn't been spayed yet so I can't give you any advice as to that, but I did want to say WELCOME! |

Hello My Ollie was neutered 2 weeks ago. He also had no interest in eating but i boiled a little chicken for him and he loved that!! By the second day about mid afternoon he was back to normal. He also wore a denim diaper to protect those stitches. |

I think it's normal if he just had it done. He's probably sore, and a little out of it. |
