Teething question... How old are your puppies when they start loosing their baby teeth? |
Im not sure but I am sure someone on here does |
My vet told me that their baby teeth should be gone by about five months old. |
I heard that they are supposed to have their adult teeth by 6 months because when you get them fixed then if they have any baby teeth left they can pull them out at the same time. Unfortunately for Teddi she had not even lost one tooth a 6 months....SO today (at a little over a year) she had to get her teeth cleaned and 6 teeth pulled out. The smaller your dog is the less likely they will lose all their baby teeth without help. |
Cody lost two teeth at 6 months. He still has a double set I'm trying to get him to lose. if not he will be getting them out surgically. |
They usually start loosing them at about 4 months and all the baby teeth should ideally be gone by 6 months. Not always the case though and they often need to be removed especially with small breeds like yorkies. |
