As some of you might know my baby has early renal insufficiency and kidney stones . I take him every 4 months to the vet school for a full evaluation ( urinalysis, ultrasound, blood tests ...) ...His last evaluation was june 12th and the results came back goods ( stable kidney function and no obstruction ) ...Tomorrow we are going again for his 4rth evaluation and I'm dying from anxiety . Please send a prayer for little Royce and wish us Good Luck:love: Thank you

Prayers going out for your little Royce. I have something encouraging to tell you. My senior Yorkie, Granny Spanky (12 Years old), was tested last year for reduced kidney function; her original BUN level was way above normal. She was immediately put on a special kidney diet, Canine K/D. She appeared to be in the very early stages of the disease. Well, at her last checkup (almost a year later), her BUN level was normal,:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: something I was sure I would never see again! So please don't be discouraged, there is always hope they can regain normal, or close to normal function.:D
Let us know test results, I feel for you, being so worried about Royce,

Lord I pray for Royce, that you will heal his body all sicknesses, that you will place your gentle hand on him and pet away his fears and pain if any. I pray that you place a spirit of calm upon his mommy and her family. Have mercy upon Roye's soul..and heal him. AMEN!

We are back from the vet school
 
I just came back fro the vet school, we spend the whole day there and I have excellent news : Royce's blood results ( creatinine, BUN, liver enzimes, phosphore, calcium ...) are perfect :thumbup:, the ultrasound showed no changes in his kidneys since last June he still has kidney stones but they are tiny and very unlikely to cause an obstruction, his pressure is good :thumbup: I didnt get the urinalysis results for the urine density and crystals but the vet told me not to worry .
As per both his vets Royce's renal insufficiency his very mild and probably he will live all his life like a normal dog . I'm so happy , relived grateful I dont have enough words to describe my joy i was worried sick ...Royce's 2nd birthday is next week he will get plenty of gifts to celebrate:p .

Yay!!! I am sooooo happy for you and Royce!!! Is it not just the best feeling in the world when your baby gets a clean bill of health?!I remember when Spanky's BUN levels returned to normal, how ecstatic I was that she no longer showed signs of kidney disease.:jump28ib::jump28ib::jump28ib:

Oh prayters are being sent your way. My gran has end stage renal failure, and although your royce is an animal and not a human, in my eyes it is all the same. I'm crossing my fingers for your baby. Good luck!
