New here!!! 1 Attachment(s) Hi, Just wanted to post and introduce myself. I have been lurking YorkieTalk for a few days now, getting some wonderfull advice. Im Kim, and stay at home mom to 3 very active children ages 10, 4, and 1 1/2. About a week ago we added a 16 week old Yorkie to the mix. We had 2 Yorkies years ago, with our male passing away about 3 years ago. We decided to take a break from dogs for a few years, since we were having the baby and everything. Now that she is up walking and not crawling on the floor, we decided it was time. I want the kids to grow up with her. We decided on a little bit older pup, since the kids are still little. Things are working out good so far, with the exception of the housebreaking. Thats not working at all. After doing some reading on here, Ive decided to change my routines a little, hopefully that will work. Also, we are having a hard time coming up with a name, poor thing. No one can agree. Anyways, hope to chat with you all soon. ;) |
Welcome, she's adorable! You'll soon come up with the perfect name! |
Congratulations on your new addition and welcome to YT! She looks like a Sophie to me!:) |
Hello and Welcome to YT.Your new Puppy is adorable:) I'm sure your family will come up with a Great name for her. |
Some of the names I have picked out were: Mady, Gracie, Lilly, Lil Bit, Tilly, Lacey and Alexandra I like them all, but my husband doest like any of them, and wont give any suggestions of his own. What do you think? Sophie was on my list, but it was a definite "not" from hubby, along with a whole lot of other names. |

Welcome to YT and your furbaby is a DOLL :) At 16 weeks, she is still very much a puppy . . . so housebreaking will take a bit of time. With so much info on this website, I am sure you will get any questions you may have answered . . .and we always like seeing our furbabies so post as much as you can of her . . . . .hope you can find a name that everyone will be happy SOOOOOOOON :) |
:welcome4: ....to YT! Your new little girl is a real cutie and I'm kinda' partial to the name Gracie myself. :) |
:welcome4: Glad you found us. What a cutie! She does need a name doesn't she? Well, I think sometimes men have a problem with giving an animal what they perceive to be a human name - don't know if that's your hubby's issue or not though. Did you have as much trouble deciding on names for your 3 children?? I love Alexandra or Alexandria - she could always be Allie for short. |
