Morkies are not necessarily bigger than yorkies. The maltese breed standard calls for between 4 and 6 pounds, but just like yorkie, there are bigger maltese. :) |
My yorkie/maltese was 3lbs. The mom was maltese at 5 lbs and dad Yorkie at 3 lbs. |
The price sounds good. Looking forward to seeing some pictures. |
My sister has a morky, he is such a sweet baby, beautiful color and well behaved, he weighs about 14 pds:D cant wait for pics;) oh and she paid 475.00 for him. |
1 Attachment(s) I have a Maltese/Yorkie mix and she is the sweetest girl. She loves everyone! Her mother was 4 lbs and the father was 4.5 lbs but my Bitsy will probably be 6 to 8 lbs full grown. Here is a picture of her at 9 weeks. I say go for it! |

1 Attachment(s) Here is a picture of my Yorky/maltese. she was such a sweet heart. I miss her so much. She needed a good trim in this picture. lol but she was only 3 lbs |
Heres her pictures 3 Attachment(s) Well I just got a email from the guy with the Morky. He said her name is Casey heres his email and pictures of her. My Morkie's name is Casey. I got her as a student at Case, so it just seemed to fit. I believe she is between 4 and 5 lbs, but she's only 6 months old. I was told by the breeder that she wouldn't get much bigger, but may fill out a little. I don't have any other dogs, but she seems to be very intimidated by larger dogs, and that's really the only time I get to hear her voice. She does like to chase squirrels, but she's not much bigger than the ones she chases, so I hope she never catches one. I live on campus, so I don't get her in the car much and then only for short drives. She does better when she can see out the window, but really loves to curl up in my lap when I drive, like I said, she is very cuddly. I've been feeding her bil-jac kibble, since the breeder gave me about 20 lbs of it, but I've been mixing it with the Costco puppy kibble Kirklands super premium with chicken, rice, and veggies. She doesn't eat very much at all, probably goes thru 1/2 cup per day. I feed her in the morning and it usually takes her the rest of the day to finish, but I'm trying to get her off the bil-jac without making her sick. She also gets Pup~Peroni lean beef treats, but never more than 1/2 a treat per day. Lets see, she is up to date on her shots as of 8/20/07 and isn't due for another apptment til April. She is not fixed....I'm not sure how I feel about it and she hasn't given me her permission, so I'm waiting on that. I think I've hit everything. I can't imagine a more idyllic home for her than a nice country villa with other dogs to play with. Even if you don't end up taking her, we might just have to come out and play :) From the pictures she looks bigger then 4-5 lbs. but I do love the coloring she has. |
She does have very nice colors. I say go for it. Now just to take to hubby right??lol. Good luck in what ever you decide. |
Omega on YT has a Morkie, Skyla that she loves. My daughter, Singergrl has Maya, Skyla's sister, and she loves her too. She says she has the best little personality. She trained alot faster than my Tinkerbrat (Yorkiepoo) did! She's a pretty little girl too. |
Morkie size Hey! She is cute! and that's a great size! she shouldn't get over 5 lbs max. I can tell she came from a good breeder. with the Bil Jac food she included. It is pure processed Chicken. It also has cane syrup in it to stop hypoglocymic problems. She is now over the age of 6 months and it is safe to wean her from that. Good luck with your new little Morkie. You have the best of Both Worlds! :aimeeyork I hope she will make you a wonderful companion, and Buddy!! |
Well Hubby does not want to get her. He thinks shes cute, But thinks we should wait and see if Our Minnies pregnat and keep one of hers if she is. and I guess hes right. because if she is I know Ill want to keep one.
