Dora Scared My Yorkie to Death!! 1 Attachment(s) Last night Romeo kept growling and barking and he never does that, in fact, I can count the times I've heard him bark. So, I would call him, and he would come and lay down beside our bed, then I would fall back asleep only to be awakened by him again. After two more times of the same thing, I got up, looked down the hall where he was growling and barking, and didn't see anything, so I told him to come to bed, and off we went back to bed (by the way it was about 3 a.m. ) Of course, he does it again, so this time I call him and he comes and stands at my doorway still barking down the hall. So I get up thinking I'm going to stay in the hall until I figure out what is going on (I think the cat is taunting him or something). I followed him down the hall and there laying on the floor is my 5-year olds Dora the Explorer pillow pal doll (see pic). I pick it up and Romeo goes nuts growling and barking. I put it closer to him and he runs backward growling and barking. It was really hard not to keep doing it just to see his response. :D Between me laughing so hard and him barking, the whole house was awake! I put it up in my daughter's closet and he stood there growling and barking, so I had to get hubby to distract him while I put it up in the top of our closet and shut the door. Too bad I didn't get a video off it. It was really funny. I always thought Dora the Explorer was a little scary too! ;) LOL. |
That is really funny. she scares me too lol. too bad you didn't get a video of it. if it was tucker i would probably still be showing it to him it sounds funny. i wonder what he would do if he saw her on TV? lol |
hahaha that's a funny story! I can just see that too! Is it still in the closet? |
That's so funny! I think I do the same thing when my kids watch Dora! My daughter has a huge Strawberry Shortcake pillow that Brutus hated. I didn't realize how much until her cute little freckled face was torn to shreds! |
That is SOOO funny!!! You should change Romeo's name to Swiper since he'd Dora's arch nemesis!!! (ok - I'm 26 and don't have kids. There is NO reason for me to know that!!) |
That is a funny story, lol. I have 2 kids, my daugther loves Dora. She has a Dora doll and Gucci loves to bite it. |
I love it,,, that is so funny. My kids have a Bart Simsons doll that says, "Don't have a cow man" And gus hates that thing. That doll has holes in his head from Gus attacking it. |
So far, Dora is still in the closet. Though she might have to come out when my relatives get here, just for the fun of it! :D I guess I'm lucky she doesn't have holes in her face too. My daughter woud be so upset and I'd be running around town trying to find another one. :p I guess we can add Strawberry Shortcake, Bart Simpson, and Dora the Explorer to a list of things yorkies dislike. That really is too funny! |
That was too funny, I knew right away that it must have been something on the floor or near him to make him keep barking lol. I know that at 3 am its not that funny sometimes. But I think I would have started laughing too lol Genie |
Thats funny!!! My soon to be five year old has the same Dora pillow. |
That's so funny. My little cousin loves Dora!! She's almost 2 yrs old and she goes around singing Da Da Da Da Dora! It's so cute!! |
LOL really cute LOL :yelrotflm |
That is so funny! It makes me sorta sad! I used to be up on all the latest fads, Barney, Teletubbies, ninja turtles - knew their names and colors; power rangers - same. Po-ke-mon - I kept cards and little figurines at my desk to explain to those unknowing. But now, you all know Dora, and I haven't ever heard of her. My boys are 14 and 17 - I guess I am out of the loop. The song didn't bring a melody to mind. Sad, sad, sad... :questione |
ummm Laura... You sound like me...I use to know all the current things. ;) But no longer...lol My kids are 21, 19, & 17... I'm out of the loop for sure~LOL :p |
Great story Tara! I have had a similar situation with a helium balloon! |
