Need help with "Doggie" Pageant Ideas

I'm entering Lily and Dixie in a Doggie Pageant and I need help with ideas. I want them to look very fancy and be in pageant type attire.

I'm thinking of ordering the rasberry floral dress from TBC for Dixie. Does it look like a pageant type dress? I have a crown with rhinestones that I'm going to put on her head. Anymore ideas on how to put it over the top?

Now for Lily. I have NO idea what to do for her. I want it to be really special. She is very small and dainty. Help!!! Any Ideas for her :confused:

Doggie Pageant!!! OMG..I want Lacy to be in a doggie pageant! I was in pageants as a kid and have always thought it would be so cool to have pageants for dogs with the glitzy pageant dresses! :eek: I'm so jealous! I love that dress by Tinkerbell's closet. I'm thinking about getting Lacy the red one to wear for Christmas (it's got a Lacy top with crystals on the bodice) and then the tutu skirt. I think one of those dresses would be pretty for a doggie pageant.

Have you looked into having a custom made dress? This way you know no one will have the same dress, which would be a major fashion faux pas;)

Well I thought about it but, I'm not sure I'm creative enough for that. I have no idea what I what! I'm thinking of contacting a couple of sellers that I have used from here in the past and see what kind of ideas they have.

I did the pageants as a kid too! I never won but I did finally get runner up in one so I decided to quit while I was ahead.

So this looks okay for a doggie pageant then? Something's missing from the whole ensemble in my mind. The dress, the crown, a triple strand pearl necklace, but what else? I can't quite put my finger on it :confused:

What about some kind of tiny ballerina slippers that match their outfits, that would be so cool but they'd have to be custom made:laugh:

A TON of makeup and hairspray...and a fake tan..LOL I think a gorgeous fancy dress, a pretty necklace, and a pretty hairpiece is all you need.

Thank you, that is so nice of you to say. The slippers are a good idea! I bet my mother could make those for me. She calls Dixie her "granddaughter" so I'm sure she would love to do it for her. Thanks for the idea!

I think you have her well covered with what you have. I love that dress. I'm sure one of the sellers on here can come up with an idea for you. I think something pink and lacey would look nice on the little one.

Ohhh! Sparkly underpants! I like it. I will have to ask Shana about those. Can't have Dixie pulling a Britney :eek:

Aw..I LOVE that dress!! I bought it and a red one like it last year. Woof is the company that makes it. www.woofonline.com Here are pictures of Lacy in her pink dress and her red dress (she wore the red one for christmas last year).
