Top-Knot Age Is there a certain age that you should wait til to pull the hair up? I feel like Miley is looking bald on top. |
Toby is too... well not bald but thining...... |
Hair Up How old is Miley? He is perfect AS IS! I keep my Samson trimmed on top; my girly-girl, Delilah, has had her hair up since she was about 4 or 5 months. The hair for both of my babes grows at very different rates. |
Izzy had a top-knot as soon as I could get a rubberband or clip to hold up even one little piece of hair...lol...I couldn't wait to get one in her!! |
i try to clip or tie Rusty's hair up, but he takes it right out:( i think we are going to have his hair trimmed so he can see. :animal36 |
I think the sooner the better, so they can get use to it. |

This is what my breeder told me too. The sooner the better. My guys are 6 months....They will take each others hair down. Isn't that considerate of them to help each other.... But I just put it right back up....The hair is staying about 4-5 hours at a time now...So I "think" I am winning...lol |
hair MY boy hates to have his hair up and will get the top knot out as soon as he can. I don't bother with it anymore. My girl loves it, and has had her hair up since she had long enough hair which was when she was a few months old. A lot depends on the quality and thickness of their hair. |

I started putting bows in Madeleine's hair as soon as I got her, even though there was no hair in her eyes! I just wanted her to get used to it as early as possible. Now she is 5 1/2 months and usually just sits there and lets me put things in her hair with little fight. |
Bella's is all scraggly :) she looks like a lil rag doll. And since she has a cotten/wavy coat, it sticks up and won't lay down nice. We're working on that |
She is 5 months old, I still put her hair up but it does look very think before I do that, infact, I think all over her body she looks like she has thin hair. |
