Skyla weighs...
 
Skyla (3/4 Yorkie, 1/4 Maltese) is 18 weeks old and weighs a whopping 7.3 lbs. :eek: I'm really beginning to wonder if her mom was a St. Bernard or something. :rolleyes: She is the sweetest, most gentle dog... so loyal and loving.:) I don't mind a larger dog, but I'm not sure I wanted a moose. :D :cool:

HAHAHAHAHA

i went to see Sedona last night (skyla's sister) and she is the same size as maggie...but maggie is more solid (fat LOL) Sedona is weighing 5 lbs :)

she is going in today for her first hair cut, nail trim, ear cleaning experience :) she is SUPER hyper and kept pinning maggie down and humping her LOL

maggie...the little hussie she is...just laid there and let her do it :eek: :eek: LOL

WOWIE! I have a 50/50 yorkie-maltese. He's at 1.8 lbs at 10 weeks. So technically he's still on the yorkie growth chart. We all know that there are 12 lb. Yorkies, you'll love her either way I'm sure. ;)

Often poorly bred Maltese have some Bichon in their background even though their papers may say that they are purebred. That accounts for many of the "supersized" Maltese.

Did you see her parents? Were they large, too?

If you go by the double the weight at 12 weeks guideline, I'd guess Skyla will end up being close to 15 pounds.

I put a few pics of her in the pic forum - just quick ones. I'll get some in the daylight so you can see her better. Her hair is so pretty and she has the most expressive, gentle eyes ever. :)

I give you permission to commit me if I ever get a dog stroller! :D Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with them.... I guess I'm just not a dog stroller lady. :yelrotflm I'm just cracking up here. If I strolled up to any of my relatives houses with my dogs in a stroller, they would think I had totally lost it. (as of now, they think I have just lost a bit of it :rolleyes: ) :eyetearss :eyetearss
