I would think my fletcher is a silky if I didnt have his litermate brother who is ALL yorkie... LOL :D Your boy is soooo handsome!!!

hey guys this thread has gotten me thinking cause me and my lil sis were reading it and she says coco looks silky but i know shes yorkie what do you guys think????

hes really tall and skinny with long legs and you may not tell that from the pick and when he sits his elbows kinds shift out like a bulldog

He just has "loose elbows", it may just be because of how his brisket is constructed though. No biggie.

I really don't think he's a Silky. Nor do I think he has any Silky closely in him either. He looks to me to just be what some might refer to as a "throw back". No, not throw away....a throw back in the lineage of type. Basically he looks like a Yorkie of old. Has anyone ever asked you if he's got Schnauzer crossed in w/ him? lol, someone over my shoulder just asked that and I answered quickly that he's a Yorkie. ;)

The list, while technical is somewhat long. His muzzle has too much substance for a Silky's type....you know what, I really need to be able to point it out to you and I just can't. I'll go grab some pics if I can and come back here. Gimme a sec...........

YEssss i cant agree more. Seeing a silky in person is an eye opening experience. You can definitely see the difference. I saw the pics the OP has and he looks like a Yorkie to me as well. :thumbup:

Definitely a yorkie with who just happens to have bigger ears very very very cute!

YES, puppy mills, and ignorant people who care nothing for the breed do this unknowingly, just to pass them off as yorkies because they want to make money, no one is really familiar with Silky Terriers, I see this alot where I live.:thumbdown
