News about my puppy 2 Attachment(s) Well I have some good news and some bad news. I am not geting my puppy next friday. The breeder said that she made a mistake about the data of birth. She said she would let me have her at 6 weeks if she was 1.12 lbs but she is only 16 oz. But she knows I want my puppy soon so if I want she has another female that will be ready to leave July 1st. So I told her I would wait until August 1st for the puppy I picked. I was so ready for her to bring her home with me but I know she has to stay with her mother. I am just a little disappointed. But that gives me a reason to go shopping for her and Remy  ! But she did keep her word about my pictures! She is so cute she is worth the wait! |
awww i bet your excited! |
She is precious! Well worth the wait (if your heart can stand it!) Hopefully no more crazy incidents come up :D |
She is such a doll! What a cutie! She is definitely worth the wait! Just hang in there and go buy her stuff! LOL |
She looks so cute and tiny!! |
The waiting is the worst part! Chewy's breeder kept him an extra 2 weeks and it killed me. It' worth it though because 6 weeks is way too young for them to leave their mamma. |
Oh good - a month isn't too long - I know you were excited but at least she is caring enough to let you know up front and corrected the dates....That's good to hear - and the pictures are adorable |
All's well that ends well! :D |
She Is Sooo Cute!!! |
Congratulations! She is beautiful and well worth the wait! :) |
It is nice to hear that you have found a responsible breeder! However, I know how the waiting is and it can just about break your heart! Well, you will have your baby very soon! Lots of time for shopping! |
Your making the right choice! Kim... This time you spent waiting is also time that your going to fall more and more in love with this little puppy~ :) We did that with Sophie. I waited on her from birth...saw pics twice weekly as she was growing.. I spent the Time on Yorkie Talk..trying to learn about the breed- I also spent the time shopping for some fun things for her along with the necessities...lol :p Kind of like having a baby huh? ;) I'm happy for you! |
Ever heard of best things comes to those who wait. :p She is sooo tiny,I bet your excited...Congrats on your new baby girl. |
I know how tought the wait can be! I waited 7 weeks after I put down the deposit for Tuck, but it was well worth the wait. At least you know that the breeder has the best interest of the pup in mind. good luck & start shopping!! She is beautiful! |
Good thing you are waiting. Six weeks is way too early. Ten to Twelve weeks would be better on the puppy and yourself. I know you are anxious, but there will be years of joy to come. Be patient, you won't regret it in the longrun. |
Mz Kim, your baby is precious, she'll be worth the wait. Be glad your breeder was up front and admitted her mistake. That's a really good sign. Biddy's mom, your pic of Biddy in her little hood is way too cute!! She looks like little red riding hood, except her hood's not red...oh, or maybe she looks like the wolf dressed up like gramma. OK I'm random, but hey, it's only 7:15!! |

Believe me - it's more like the Big Bad Wolf!! LOL |
Your baby is adorable. I agreed 6 weeks is way to young. Im glad that the breeder is responsible and admitted the mistake. Your little one will be home soon. Congrats on your new baby. :) |
Just think... that's a month of sleep and shopping to get in! Definitely do everything before she gets there. I haven't gone grocery shopping in two weeks because I don't want to leave Olivia! (It's amazing how long you can live on rice and frozen food- I'm dying for a fresh fruit or vegitable!!) She's going for her last set of shots this weekend and I'm psyched. Now, she'll be able to go out with me and I'll be able to get some exercise again! I have a 9 mile race coming up in 2 weeks and have only run once each week because I hate to leave her! |
I'm Feeling A Shopping Spree!!!!!!! I have a couple of questions for all of you. At 6 weeks she is 16 oz = 1lb is there a way to calculate her adult wait? Next I see some of your yorkies with the little pj's I want to buy a pair for Remy and Martini where can I find them? I need some good places to shop. I wish they had shops in Minnesota I could walk in and shop. I was a little disappointed when I got the news but I know it's for the best this way. She (the breeder) said she at least wanted her to be 1.12 lbs before she lets her go. I almost asked her can she gain 12 oz. in a week :embarasse ! I know I'm bad! I think I am going to buy a baby playpen and a bunch of new toys! I think I need to make a list! I have been REALLY nice to my boyfriend  so me and Remy can go Shopping with his credit card! And I have to buy my 2 chi chi's some goodies too! :D So give me some good ideals! |
Chachi was 1lb at 6 weeks and he is close to 6lbs. It really depends a little bit on the parents weight also. |
I got my pj's at barkindogs.com .. from Rena..she has really great stuff..it is well priced..shippng is free and they come pretty to size..you can even send her the measurements if you wanted to and she would make it to order..also if you see somethig elsewhere you can email it to her and she will tell you if she can match it...Maximus got most of his oj's and clothes from her..I got him x-small when he was 2 lbs..but now that he is 4.5 he is wearing the size small..good luck and CONGRATS |
Oh so cute! Just be relieved that you have a breeder that seems to really care about the pups so much, like the breeders on this forum - they are all really nice. But my breeder insisted my pup go home, at only 6 weeks of age, weighing 1.9, and it's really a worry for me. He is very tiny and really should've stayed with his momma longer. So don't worry, your pup will be in your arms soon................ |

12 to 13 weeks is the recommended age for yorkies. They are sooo fragile, get hypoglycemic when left alone or upset. I would be afraid to get one that young. |
She is adorable! Its a shame that you have to wait but its so much better for the pup, and you have more time to buy her loads of welcome home pressies! :D I think we got Lucy at about 10 weeks but she was quite large when we got her! |
