Freaking out over clothes! OK...I see most of you out there put these cute little clothes on your babies. I have two Maltese that are 9 years old and they don't care one way or another, but I tried a little shirt on Delilah today and she freaked out! I mean she started running into things to get away from the shirt! I had to quickly take it off. Will she ever get used to it or do some dogs just not like anything on them?? |
I am sure she might get used to it, it will just take some time. Just put it on her for a few mins a day, then just go from there. |
It takes a little while.. just keep putting clothes on her if that is what you want . I have a boy and a girl and they get dressed like twins. They love dressing up and when i buy them new things . |
She should get use to it... Meka was the same way the first time, but after that - she was good :) |
Buster was the exact same way when I first put clothes on him - he would rub up against walls trying to get them off...now he gets excited when I put something on him...Just takes time |
What you need to do is praise your little girl when she has it on. Give her a treat and tell her what a good pretty girl she is. How old is she???? |
She is 4 months...I will keep trying!;) |
PS. She still isnt into the bows in the hair thing. We are working on it. I normally distract her when I put one it. I give her a new toy or a treat. |
Yeah here too...she had her first bow and it sure didn't last long! I can't even get another one on her...she is soooooo wiggly!! HaHa! |
I'd give it a little time. They'll eventually get use to it. |
My babies learned that when I put clothes on them they're going somewhere special. |
Yes, mine get all excited when I dress them because it usually means they are going somewhere. If I dress one the other one will be right there as if asking "Where's mine? Where's mine? They love the clothes. |
