the back half of maggie's hair is curly. i try and try and try to brush and dry it after her baths...trying to smooth it so it lays down. but it just doesn't work. the front half of her is typical yorkie hair...straight, silky, smooth, and lays down GREAT. the back half of her is poodle hair LOL

is there ANYTHING I can do... short of taking my straightening iron to her LOL

j/k I don't think i could ever do that LOL

All of Pipers hair is wavy like that. I think it looks really cute. He's my little curly locks.

don't get me wrong...i think she is the cutest thing that has walked the planet...but i am trying to grow full coat on her and it just looks so different. just wondering if there is anything i can do to help encourage it a bit :)

Maybe some gel? ;) I think she's so adorable with her straight front and wavy back.

Are you using Mink sheen.? It makes Roccos hair curly on his back.

I think it's adorable. Maybe as it gets longer the weight will straighten it some.

You know, my Remy has the same thing the front half is straight but the back half is wavy. Shes nine months old now, I have noticed that the straight hair area is slowly replacing the curly stuff so it may just take a while . In the meantime instead of bedhead she has bedbutt! ....HAHA!:D

Chloe's hair does that on her rump too! But she has way way less hair than Maggie. I wash her with Cranberry fields shampoo and conditioner, (finishing up with cowboy magic leave in) then while I"m blowdrying her, I brush it straight. It still is a little wavy when I'm done, but it is better.

bedbutt LOL yep...that is maggie too :) i think it is sloooooowly getting better...but it is just taking FOREVER!!!!!!!! she will be a year old on the 5th! i know their coat can change for a few years...i think she is one of those that will take every bit of time alloted :) she still has a lot of silver in her head...and that is slooooooooooowly changing as well

either way...i couldn't love her more. but i sure would like that curly butt to tame down a bit :)

I hate to tell you this but one of mine has beautiful thick true silky hair. But his behind is curly. He's now 5 years old!! Still curly! It does do better longer not quite so much curl, but it is still there! I tried cutting hiim down to a shorter cut last Christmas. Wow! It curled even more!! I hope yours does grow out of it, but I wouldn't count on it.

I know they sell products to straighten curls and waves, but I think it looks so cute! You can just tell people the front half is Yorkie and the back half is Poodle. :D

hehe...i do :) they just laugh at me LOL

i think i am going to go visit her breeder soon. was waiting for the cast to come off :) during my visit, i will talk to her and see if either of the parents went through that. when i saw the parents, they seemed to have very nice hair...so maybe it will grow out. maybe not LOL

either way, it is fine, just wondering if there were products out there....

you say there is...where would i find this for dogs?? I have been looking and can't seem to find anything :(
