It is a safety issue for me. | I respect your desicion.
My aunt is 58 years old & my uncle is 62, they have has been deaf all their life, they drive, shop, and both work in the hi-tech industry. My Aunt recently retired but worked for IMB in the assembly line for over 20yrs and my Uncle currently works for Sun Microsystems in manufactuing. I know there are many machines and heavy equip. in their work env. that could be dangerous but they reply on their other sences to alert them. She chooses not to use any assistance (service dog etc) other than her own senses.
When you loose one sence the others highten, I only hope relying on a service dog doesn't weaken the other sences. |
