Wow...A lady at PetsMart today was RUDE!
 

My boyfriend and I were at our new PetsMart today shopping with Jaxson. We were taking him to pick out some toys and a treat for his birthday today. Well, we're almost done with our shopping and we see this family consisting of a grandma, daughter, and grandson. The grandson is saying "Awww, look at that poodle!" Too bad Jax looks nothing like a poodle, but I thought it was cute. Then the grandmother asked the daughter "Have you ever seen that Cesar Millan show? Well, the ferocious dogs that are always featured on that show and need his help are always those LITTLE dogs that haven't been trained properly." She then proceeded to look at Jax and point. She told her daughter "Just like him!"

That burned us!!! If I was not afraid that I would warp that grandson for life, we would have given her a piece of our mind. Most LITTLE dogs are just as easily well-trained as bigger sizes. And Yorkies are so damned smart, lol. And Jaxson was just sitting there looking cute while this mean old lady said mean things about him and his kind on his birthday! Grrrr....

But other than that, Jax has had a great 1 year birthday and is getting some puppy ice cream tonight :animal36

Actually, she may have just been pointing to your dog to the girl about a yorkie. Last weekend, on the Dog Whisperer, they had a house that had 9 yorkies, and Cesar was there to help with one that was very jealous and attached to the dad. He would get very aggressive and snap at people.

So maybe she wasn't talking about your dog being the problem dog. Maybe she was pointing at your dog as if to say the show was "one of those kind of dogs" kind of thing. Know what I mean?

You know there have been many incidents with rudeness and petco or petmart... Why are rude people ranging around there?!:D

I wish I had seen that show. Penny's so out of hand.

Shame on her ... what gives her the right. When people think I am crazy for loving my yorkies and dressing them so cute... I just say there are some really ugly and mean people out there and doing unbelievable things to innocent little children everyday ... let me enjoy my furbabies ... some parents should show more love to their human babies.. Yorkies rule... my are top of the class . lol

Darn it! :mad: Why to people have to be so RUDE :thumbdown Just because a dog is small does not mean he/she isn't properly trained! Granted we are still working on Tate lol :rolleyes: (she has a mind of her own :p) but Stedman is EXTREMELY well behaved and knows tons of tricks. He is the most well behaved, fastest learning dog I have ever owned in my entire life!

Oh well....that lady OBVIOUSLY doesn't know what she's talking about so just let her talk! :p

She must be watching the small dog edition, because I have seen all sized dogs with bad behavior on the show. Too bad her bias is passed to her grandchild, I'm sure he would have loved to give your baby a birthday rub:p

I had never had ANYONE EVER in the 2 yrs that Max has been alive ask an insulting question until a week or so ago when I was at my mom's and it was MY AUNT...she said, OH SO SWEETLY (b/c I had "HER" bedroom) "Is he ALL yorkie?"....(she's a moron to begin with but I just couldn't help myself)...I said, just as SWEETLY...."Well, just the parts that aren't Great Dane".....she said "teeeehheee....well, I'm smart enough to know that he's not part Great Dane" and I told her "But you AREN't smart enough to not ask insulting questions, are you?". Sorry....no slack when it comes to my animals. And I'm really
sorry...when it comes from the high priestess of the SPAM appetizers.....zero tolerance:p

Sorry that happend to you. I've always had a pleasant experience in our Petsmart. The workers always comment on Tilly and often people will stop and tell me how cute she is. Tonight an older man stopped to see Tilly and he was telling me about the two Yorkies he has at home. I think Tilly sensed how he loved Yorkies because she kept wanting to give him kisses on his hand. It was cute!

shame on that lady .... passing on stupid biases to her g'child ... now that chuld may never ever know the true love of a sweet Yorkie ... and yes, they are ALL sweet ....

whats with everyone being too darn nice to say anything back :D i would have told her to shut up cuz she doesnt know what shes talking about.. and thats me being "nice" :)
