There is a Yorkie in my neighborhood and Ive seen her being walked, and I was looking at her for the longest time .. wondering " why does she look different... yet the same??" Then it hit me.... DUH... the long tail!! I think its pretty,,, kinda prissy-ier... ( is that a word) :confused:

Love the tails, I think they're cute :thumbup: It's funny, I just came across an old article from the YT Magazine from back in 1992, 13 years ago, and even back then they were debating on tails, to dock or not? I guess AKC hasn't come a long way in changing their minds, they probably never will :( ...

i actually prefer them docked(just personal preference) but they are cute long too :thumbup:

I didn't realize there were so many long tailed Yorkies out there! I thought our Jo was in the minority...his was docked but not to the stubby size...it's kind of in between. It looks longer now because his hair is growing and I'm not sure how to just trim the tail and make it look right. I agree though...Yorkies are adorable no matter what the length of their tail is!

That tail is gorgeous. If it was up to me, Riley and TJ would have there tails, but I didn't exactly have a choice in the matter. Yorkies are adorable either way, but I always wanted a Yorkie with a tail! :D

OMG they are soooo cute. When they grow up they will probably be bigger than the dog though lol. ooooh i love them. tuckers tail was kind of done wrong. its like a little longer than i think it should be its not long its just not as short as most i've seen. oh well he's still my baby!

i have one of each (oreo has his full tail, ginger has her's docked, and cloey also has her tail)

they are cute either way!! :D

The puppies with tales are very cute!!! :) I've heard that the reasoning behind docking a dog's tail is to prevent possible injury such as a long tale being shut in a door and broken and then having to be surgically removed. This is much more involved that the simple docking of a young puppy.
Many countries are now banning docking. I think they are cute either way. When Oscar wags his stub, his whole butt wags too :D

Those puppies are adorable! I love yorkie tails in tact and docked. But the full tails look like so much fun, can you imagine how much fun they have wagging it!! Both my yorkies are docked but at a longer length and I like it ;)
