Fondant for Dog Cake I am looking for a recipe for something I can put on cookies that doesnt have to be refridgerated. Anyone? Also I am still deciding on cake/icing for Sam's party. Suggestions? |
I wouldn't let the dogs eat fondant...way too much sugar |

Is there something that you can put on doggie bones that doesnt have to be refridgerated thats comparable to fondant? |
I don't know. I've always seen people use cream cheese and or yogurt to frost things but I guess those would need to be refrigerated. Hopefully someone else will have some suggestions for you. Good Luck :) |
Thanks! I have seen them at the speciality stores but no one makes their own, its all pre-ordered that they say are topped with yogurt but no one knows how. Maybe powder yogurt is available, like powder milk? |
this website has yogurt chips, theres also carob i guess it kinda like fake chocolate lol and peanut butter chips. i dont know if thats what your looking for but think its interesting... http://www.barryfarm.com/carobcocoa.htm |
Peanut butter could be used for frosting without refridgeration. Maybe you could add something dry like baby rice cereal to make it less "wet." Probably wont be a pretty color tho' |
yogurt chips is what is used. Its non perishable! So I can use this on the dog bone treats for the goodie bags! I would do 1/2 the bone in it or write their name on the bone! Carob is often used as a substitute for chocolate or cocoa powder in cakes, cookies, and candy. Carob chips are easily substituted for chocolate chips in cookies and muffin. They're naturally delicious! The ingredients are as follows: Sugar, Partially Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil, Carob Powder, Sorbitan Monostearate (an emulsifier), Soy Lecithin (an emulsifier). This is a "pet safe" product. Bulk candy comes 6.3 pounds per case. Kosher Parve. Yogurt chips are the perfect alternative to chocolate. Whether for melting and molding or sampling and snacking, these yogurt chips are great for whatever you've got in mind. The ingredients are as follows: Sugar, Partially Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil, Whey, Nonfat Yogurt Powder (cultured nonfat milk), Titanium Dioxide, Soy Lecithin, Artificial Flavor, and Salt. This is a "pet safe" product. |
Lots of great suggestions. Your making me hungry. |
