Doggie outhouse
 
Today we have rain! This is the first time for months that we have had a good soaking. My 10 mths old Zoey could not use the bathroom outside no matter what i tried. My husband and I are building an doggie outhouse, and hopefully they will use it. I will let you know.

Cheaper to train them to use wee-wee pads. ;) Anyway post pictures of your hubby's handy work when he's finished. :D

I've heard of people that only want to outdoor train using potty pads in the garage or right under the porch or overhang for bad weather.

But I'd love to see pics of the outhouse too!!

Here we just have to go out in the rain. Lacy normally pottys fast. But if we are visiting my parents we let the dogs out in the garage to potty when it rains.

Hey - we just bought this cool dog house on line for the very same reason - Izzy hates the rain and in a few weeks we are putting all our tables and gazebo packed away for winter and their goes her coverage..hahaha....we are going to put the doggie house close to our patio door opening and to get her used to it put some of her old pee-pads from during the day when we are at work in their to get her used to it. Let me know how it works for Zoey.;)

We are not finished with it yet we are adding a tar paper roof. Yes it does have windows. We just used scraps of wood and plastic we had around. I couldn't resist painting the moon and stars. We will not know if it works until we have more rain at that time I will move it closer to the porch. Last winter I had to shovel them places in the snow, so this will be much better.

That doggie outhouse is adorable and I just showed my husband and even he said it was cute! We'll see how Izzy does with her little doggie house this coming winter when it gets really yucky...I'm not looking forward to that at all.:(

What a wonderful idea!!! Better get yourself a patten on it ... you'll be seeing them selling everywhere! :p We actually use a softsided crate with a wee wee pad for Toto ... works great for indoors & in the car when travelling! This girl loves her privacy! Good luck. ;)

Doggie outhouse update
 
It has been raining for two days and we put the dog outhouse right by the porch and yes they are using it.
