One more emotional support dog question... My aunt's doctor is going to write my aunt a letter of recommendation for a support dog. She has found an apartment around here that she loves, but the complex doesn't allow pets. I think she's going to sign a contract today and move in in November. When should she tell them about the support dog? She hasn't gotten the letter yet. Thanks! |
I would tell them up front. What if they don't let support dogs in either? Then she'd be stuck. |

I think she should just tell them right away. That way even if they try to refuse her to let her keep her dog in the apartment, she'll have plenty of time to get proof. But I would wait until the contract is signed, just to make sure they don't make it a long, drawn out process. As someone with a service animal in training, I know people can be real jerks about this type of thing. |
