So I saw an ad in the paper today.... I'm starting to look around to see what the classifieds have in terms of older Yorkies for sale. By "older", I really mean at least 6 months old, so most of the puppy stage is over. While I was looking, I saw an ad for 3 WEEK old puppies?? WTF sells them that young?? The youngest I've ever seen is 6 weeks...have you seen this before?? I don't even know how that could be legal...talk about putting the dog's life in danger. |
That is horrifying! It would be illegal in FL which dictates that puppies must be at least 8 weeks and the same in most other states I'm sure. I did see a girl with a little Chi in PetSmart a while back. I asked her how old he was and she said 6 weeks so obviously the law isn't stopping people. It's really awful although, OMG, 3 weeks really takes the cake! |
Many states have pet lemon laws where it's illegal to sell a pup under a certain age. That's sooo awful! Why would anyone do that?? |
I'm sure that the 3 week old ones were in the paper for deposits and they failed to state that in the ad. I'd sure hate to think that anyone would be selling them so young. I've seen 6 week olds in the paper before and just shake my head in disgust! |
Im hoping it was a misprint, 3 weeks is way to young , I would give them a call and ask and give them a peice of my mind. |
are you sure they werent just taking deposits? |
Or they could be stolen  |
call and see! |
That's horrible:mad: maybe they were stolen....   call & find out...Keep us posted |
That's horrible. The worse part is some unknowing person might buy them at that age. I'd call and check it out. |
Just as an update today....I saw the same ad in the paper and it now says "3 months" instead of "3 weeks". So it was just a typo apparently. Good thing. |
