It is a BEAUTIFUL day. The leaves are beginning to turn, and it is about 82. We went to a lake nearby to kayak with my husband's brother and wife, and it was very windy. We really had to use those arm muscles. Saw wild turkey and a field of sunflowers. Went out to lunch in a small town, and came home looking at the leaves. What a glorious day!!!:) |

and to you also..... TY...... and "Happy Fall Y'all" right back at ya! It is really hot here in KY. I was hoping for a little cooler weather soon.... but I must be careful what I wish for. ( My luck, it would snow!! :eek: :eek: ) Just hope that it gets cooler soon.... and we have a little rain. The deer, birds, squirrels, etc are really in need of it... as is our lawn!!! It is so brown. We are not sprinkling the grass - must preserve what water we have!!! (Kentucky has quite a few issues with water supplies in many counties). |
Autumn is my favorite season! :D I live in one of the nearby Sacramento cities, and it's currently 70°F. I wonder if we'll actually get RAIN this year. It barely rained last year ... Didn't feel like Fall or Winter at all. |
OK - here is REAL fall weather here by the Great Lakes: Today it was sunny and right now it is 73 degrees and tonight going down to 51. Yup - it's fall and some of the trees are turning already. You can smell it in the air here. :D This is my favorite time of year but not what comes after.:eek: |
Today here in Central Indiana it was in the mid 80's. The leaves are starting to fall, a bit and the colors are starting to change. Nothing drastic yet, but looking forward to the fall colors. Also looking forward to the cooler temps. |
SF Bay Area I have been shopping all over the Bay Area today. It was about 75 in Walnut Creek. It was 69 in Orinda, and at home it was 64. I lived in Indpls. IN when I was younger. I love the city, but it's too cold in the winter, and too hot in the summer. This time of year it is so beautiful with the crispness of the fall. I love hearing the leaves crunch underfoot. I lived in NY too. Again, with the extreme heat and cold. Yikes! I love living in CA. When I was looking for a job I really, really wanted to live in LA, but God had other plans for me. After I really move to SF I really loved it. I would not want to live anywhere else. (Well, okay maybe Italy, Spain, France) Have a great one no matter where you are. Cheers!!! |
It's been in the 90's here.. It's been a beautiful sunny day here today.. Everything is still green here as well too.. I love fall. love watching the colors change.. and i also love it cause i can open up the doors and windows turn the a/c off (save on electric bill ) !!!! |
Yes! Happy first day of Fall everyone! :D It is 89 here right now (YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!!!) but actually, it doesn't feel that hot at the moment, thank God. I can't wait until it gets down to the 70's - and even the 60's (heck, even lower!). Fall is my FAVORITE time of year - I look forward to it every year! :cheer: Can't wait til all the leaves start changing! :D |
2 Attachment(s) First day of fall in Nebraska...it was mid to upper 80's today with a nice breeze that kept it from feeling to hot. Right now at 7:30pm it's 82 degrees. Here's a few pics of my dogs in the leaves late last fall. They were actually taken in early November. |
I'm MOVING! It's too cold for me here.... 62 degrees, tonight's low will be 42. We've broken out all the doggie sweaters, and people one's too! It will be about this same weather for the week.... a little sun, a little clouds, a little rain. |
Happy first day of Fall? or is still summer? :) HI, right now here it's a cool comfortable 55 degrees. This afternoon it was a beautiful day but was 82 degrees. whew! sun was hot but the air felt cool. not happy that winter is coming though:thumbdown although I love to cook and when it get's cold out, I just go to town with the cookin thing. Fall foliage is pretty here. still some green. but we'll probably get our real first snow 2nd week of October. not much time left! |
It is a cold 57 here and it had been raining for 2 days!!:( It's cold to us since we have been in the 100's and last few weeks in the 80-90's not ready for winter but they said it might snow here in our mountains tonight:cold smil :snow: :snowman: |

Still warm here in Atlanta! I am ready for fall. We went to a football game Friday night and it sure didn't seem like football weather----sweating is not fun during a game when you are just sitting in the stands! Can't wait for it to cool down! :) |
