So many oils for itchy skin!!! Some guidance please!!! So Reese has been dealing with itchy skin and ear issues for almost a year now. I have seen numerous vets, specialists, etc. I switched her to natural balance duck and potato and just had her on a regiment of steroids to help ease the itching. Now that she is off it, her itching has started right back up again. Rather than do steroids again, I would like to try the natural route. I have been reading about all these oils in different posts that people use...hemp, coconut, flaxseed...Currently I have been putting fish oil on her food...but would like to know more about these oils and which to use for her issues... also, does anyone know about different enzyme supplements...those are supposed to help too right?? i guess i am just in an overload of information and would like some guidance...Help!!! |
I think it's so difficult to find solutions for all these itchies, so frustrating. I've been consulting w/ this nutritionist for Marcel's issues (ibd/ibs - post-giardia) and she is UNREAL! I absolutely could not believe how quick I saw a turn around. It looks like she treats allergies too - so I don't know if it's something you'd be interested in. You could also just try a product w/out the consult. I really like the look of the Pro Aller - looks like it treats causes instead of symptoms. http://www.askariel.com/pages.asp?pi...ific_illnesses |
Can I ask how long she talks to you for the initial consultation and how much is the follow up? Also i do not really want to home cook can she work around that. |
I just want to know what I need to give her and there is so much information out there...if i give her missing link, what other supplements should i be giving her?? does that have the probiotics and enzymes in it, as well as fatty acids?? |
Raw, unrefined coconut oil is helpful for skin issues. It contains a very good amount of vitamin e. |
