Riley's first time at home... 1 Attachment(s) I posted this on my other post but wasn't sure if you all would see it or go back into it...so here is what I wrote: His first time home alone..well...he did ok...he lived! He was still crying when I came home but he might have heard me drive up and started up again. I had classical music on..but it might not have been loud enough...He did go potty on his pee pad but he poo'd next to it...mommy put the bed on the wrong side of the xpen and so he had poo'd in the front part where he would see me come home and he was jumping in it when I walked in the door...my trainer had told me to not pick him up right away and to let him settle down first (give him about 5 minutes) but I couldn't have him jumping in his poo...so I picked him up (he wasn't crying just jumping up and down happy to see me) and I didn't say a word to him for a few minutes while I cleaned up the mess...then gave him lots of kisses and now he is sleepin on my chest! LOL...He loves to sleep there. I think he still loves me!! Here is a picture of him sleeping This is so hard! Does it ever get easier? Attachment 150529 |
Awww, how sweet. He will get better about you leaving, and you may to. I still get sad when I know I have a long day and I leave my big girls. It breaks my heart because they will be looking out the door sad as I leave. :( Winstin goes about everywhere and when I cannot take him he goes in his crate and goes to sleep. Usually does not cry but I still feel really bad. |
Yeah...I think the next time we leave we will put the crate in he xpen without the gate so maybe he will feel more safe and go in and sleep...this time we just had a sheepskin bed that he may not have felt protected in...I will be coming home for lunch to take him out and spend some time with him...:) |
That is a good idea. I also keep a towl and a stuffed animal in with him. However, I do not have an xpen. He will get better. I had never heard of an x pen til I got on here. I trained my big girls using a crate. |
I think it will become easier in time. |
Never gets easier to leave em'... I just hate leaving Meka in the morning, cuz when I close the door I can still hear her cries... : ( |

Ok this is going to sound really weird, but what is your name? I see that you are in WA, but, did you ever live in Oregon? Oh, and I think your little one will get used to it. I am sure coming home at lunch will help out a lot! |
Cute pic:) he will adjust, it takes time, but it is hard to leave them, I cant stand to hear them cry:( but we all know they are quite after we go:) and so so happy when we return:D |
No I have always lived in WA. :) My name is Christa. |
:aimeeyork It's going to be easier...I leave a t shirt that I worn for Koda during the day just in case she miss me she can you have the scent:rolleyes: I do bring her to the office for the most part because It brakes my heart leaving her, She has become a pro as an office assistant and she's been at important meetings...But everyone Loves her there and she is sweet... |
It eventually gets easier, although I still feel bad and think about my little one the whole time I am away...even if I am gone for a quick trip to the grocery store. When she cries it breaks my heart. When I do leave, Bella has her toys and her blankie...and then I leave the TV on for her for background noise, so she does not feel like she is alone. |
Such a sweet picture, look like he love to be with mommy:p |
